As I arrived, I easily found a parking spot in the small, yet empty lot. With no one else around, I relished the opportunity to have the park all to myself. It was a rare and cherished moment of solitude. My journey into the heart of this oasis began with a visit to a charming shelter that featured restrooms and a grill. I was pleased to find the facilities in impeccable condition, a testament to the park's commitment to cleanliness. The park's thoughtful amenities further enhanced my experience. Benches and picnic tables offered ideal spots to savor my meal and soak in the natural surroundings. A well-designed children's playground stood ready for families to enjoy, while strategically placed drinking fountains ensured that visitors remained hydrated during their stay. After a satisfying lunch, I decided to embark on a leisurely walk along the park's impeccably maintained paved trail. What struck me most was the generous canopy of shade provided by the mature trees that lined the path. It was a welcome respite from the sun's rays, and I reveled in the coolness it offered. As I continued my exploration, the trail branched off into a smaller, more rustic nature trail. Our eyes met, and for a brief moment, I felt a profound connection with this graceful creature, a connection that transcended words. Overall, this park is a hidden gem that I would recommend to all who appreciate the beauty of charted territory devoid of human presence. It offers the perfect setting for a peaceful meal, a leisurely stroll, and a chance to connect with nature in a profound and...

I don’t think it gets emptied often enough. The drop off in nearby Drake park was also jammed, but at least it appeared to have legal recyclables...
