Churchill's Fine Teas in Madisonville — Restaurant in Cincinnati

My first experience with Churchill's was when I was visiting a friend in the Cincinnati area who said she had to take me there. We visited the Findlay Market locations and I was gobsmacked by the variety of teas and had to smell all of them on the wall of tea before figuring out what I wanted. It always takes me a long time to make choices whenever I am lucky enough to visit in store, but I am also very grateful for how wonderful (and fast) their online store is for shipping tea to myself in Wisconsin and to family/friends far and near. (My five year old niece ADORES the apple strudel tea and one of the things she always looks forward to on my visits these last several years is making our "pink tea" with me every afternoon/evening. Her older brother actually loves to eat the steeped pieces of apples/nuts/beets after we're done making pink tea.)

They went above and beyond this year getting me their amazing advent calendar!! I've been ordering it for several years and somehow this year I was so busy that I didn't go to order it until the weekend before Thanksgiving. I had difficulty ordering it online since it was only available in store at that point but they were kind enough to hold 2 (1 for me and 1 for a friend) for me to call in an order to ship them to me. I called in on Tuesday morning to pay for the order over the phone and they got it out right away so it arrived to me in Wisconsin today, just in time for the first day of advent tea!

On Saturday I came in to get my favorite (you have to try African Sunrise) and a decaf Irish breakfast for my husband. Anyway, they ladies that were there that day were delightful and friendly. We grew up on tea. Ice tea in the Summer. Hot tea in the winter. However, I was not aware of all the subtleties of of teas and the variety. We boiled water threw in some Lipton tea then drank it.
