Ordered two entrees, two tacos, and drinks. Food was mediocre in flavor at best but for the price it was quite terrible. They charged us $5 for one little cup of hot chocolate (wasn't on the menu and didn't say the price). It was clearly made from a cocoa mix and it came out scalding hot! It took 20 minutes to reach a temperature cool enough to drink. Reckless! The only accept cash but we didn't know that until paying the bill. Had to go to an ATM. The total had changed to a higher price when I came back because they had apparently missed something before. They couldn't explain why the total didn't match menu prices. When I asked why it was way higher than it should've been, they said "taxes." What a joke! Will definitely not be returning! There's plenty of better restaurants and I recommend...
Read more$15 for a plate with four birria tacos seemed okay. $3.75 for a bottled drink seems steep. Paid with card and left a tip as I didn't know if they serve the food. Waited, then a guy put my food in a window right to the dining room. He said something in Spanish. Not knowing what to do, I got up to get my food. A minute later the server came with a fork. So kinda confusing and not sure what I tipped for. Anyway, the tacos were good and big. The salsa was very tasty. The birria dipping stuff was bland. Lot of food. Mixed experience all the way around.

Read moreThis taqueria is a hidden gem on the Westside of Cincinnati.
Of the many Latín eateries that have sprung up in the area, they are one of the few that makes their corn tortillas from scratch. I can't go back to eating store bought tortillas with my tacos!
Their carne asada tacos, in particular, are excellently seasoned and delicious.
For those more accustomed to Taco Bell, the prices may seem "high," but in reality, there is no other taqueria on the Westside where you will get these large of portion sizes for the price you pay at Dona Maria.
Seating is limited, so consider calling ahead and picking up an order to go, especially if you are ordering during peak times. Also, all of the staff are ESL, so going in with some idea of what you want may help...
