If Circle Pines had a ghetto this would be in the middle of it. The restaurant itself is dirty and beat up. The glass on the doors looked like they haven't been clean in 10 years. The inside is just as bad, where the cash register is, is surrounded by broken plexiglass. Why? Just get rid of the plexiglass. This place was gross to say the least. The food, well it was slightly better than the building, but still gross. We ordered Chicken fried rice, wontons, spring rolls, chow mein, Chicken with snow pea pods and Vietnamese egg rolls. Chicken fried rice was below average, wontons were good, but tasted like they were from a supermarket. The spring rolls were terrible, and also from a supermarket. Chow mein, well that was worse than the spring rolls. Chicken snow pea thing was below average and not much flavor. Vietnamese egg rolls were probably the best thing, but my girlfriend didnt like them at all. The egg rolls had a good flavor and had the right amount of crispness to them, but they did have a greasy taste to them, but overall I thought they were decent. We spent $70 on food and threw away $55 of that food. This place was unfortunately disgusting all around, oh and the...
Read moreOrdered from here because it was the closest thing with egg foo young (bf’s favorite). Got home and no egg foo young in my bag. Got a weird brown sauce, sweet and sour for the wontons (greasy and almost no cream cheese at all, what was there was hard), and I ordered pan fried noodles with beef, got a hard ball of over cooked noodles and a side of some type of veggie pork stir fry. Neither had any flavor at all. Fried rice compares to food court fried rice. Yellow, with frozen veggies, and zero taste. Haven’t even tried the eggs rolls, my stomach is turned from everything else. Spent $40 on food and it was awful. They offered to remake or credit me for my egg foo young but we won’t be back. We don’t live close enough to justify the gas to get there. Will definitely...
Read moreFood was ok, portions were good, price was ridiculous.
They have the basic, low-end Asian food. General Tso, sesame chicken, orange chicken, etc... None of it tastes bad, it's just that they have basic LeeAnn Chin food with P.F. Changs prices.
Service and atmosphere isn't one of my big concerns, but it was also subpar. Dingy carpet, sticky tables...etc. There was a young guy running the register that was clearly more interested in his phone than he was with customers.
My Order: Sesame Chicken w/white rice
Another Sesame Chicken w/noodles
And cream cheese wontons
$42.00 !?!?!?!?
Compared the SAME order to 4 different places (Leeann Chin, Panda Express, Panda Garden, and Hip Sing's in BC).... neither...
