Rusty Cow is an American Family Diner hidden in what appears to be an old strip mall. From the road, there was no large sign or other indication that a little gem was hidden at the end of the building. I was pleased with the ample parking places to choose from. I rate Rusty Cow 5 stars although I did have one negative experience; however, the manager (I believe) did come by and ask how everything was and I (and everyone else) stated it was all good. I did not state that I ordered my eggs "easy over" and they came firm (dry). I never provided them the opportunity to correct the mistake and that is on me. Not them. My party of 8 went for breakfast on Halloween day. Walking in, we were greeted by staff dressed for the occasion and there were some great outfits. Immediately I felt this was going to be a good experience. The facility was decorated with many prints of cows and a rooster here and there, or just one? There was plenty of room for everyone and we were promptly seated and greeted by our server who was expertly dressed as a scarecrow. We were provided with new menus that featured a great selection of American diner entrees and it did not take long for us to choose. I ordered a Hungry Farmer plate which was loaded hash browns, a slice of ham, bacon, 3 eggs (easy over - ugh), and toast. Our food was delivered in a respectable amount of time and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. I enjoyed mine too except as I noted. Again, I never even told our friendly server about my order so all is good. Midway through, Elvis came by and asked how the kitchen did. Everyone was filling up and happy. Turns out, the breakfast was so filling, most of us made it past early dinner without much need to eat. The portion size was more than enough. The prices were very fair, and the staff was friendly, efficient, and professional. Rusty Cow is in an area I will visit often enough that I will be requesting we go out for breakfast, and maybe even lunch or dinner more often.

Holy. Cow. Pun intended. AMAZING. Ordered takeout yesterday (7/11). Ordered the Rodeo Burger and the Reuben, one with regular fries & one with sweet potato fries. Oh. My. Easily top 5 burger I've ever had. It was AT LEAST 1/3 lb, possibly a 1/2 lb of a delightfully and perfectly prepared slab of beef. Simply amazing. Think Matt's Bar and other popular metro burger establishments when you imagine the quality of this burger. The Reuben is my wife's go to just about everywhere we go - this was one of THE best she's ever had. You name what makes this classic sandwich great, this had it and then some. Fries were great, hot and crispy, even for takeout, which tends to wreak havoc on fries when they sit for too long. We don't visit too many places repeatedly, but this will be one of those places that gets our frequent business.

We went there for brunch just because we’ve had so much about this place and it’s right in our neighbourhood and we never got a chance to try it. Overall it’s decent and we had a good experience however it was just surprised that their portion of fries is extremely small. Or maybe it was that just for our dish, I don’t know. We ended up getting a separate side of fries just to make up for it and wear unfortunately disappointed again because the portion was so small anyway I don’t know if it was a server or something going on in the kitchen or what but for that reason and for the fact that they couldn’t get my partners eggs right and how he wanted, I would give them a three star.

Let me start by saying I've been to this restaurant 2 times before today and both times have had a positive experiences. Today, however, I witnessed some seriously uncalled for customer service. The hostess was extremely rude to a group that came in after us. It was a larger group of thirteen, and the hostess very rudely said they should have made a reservation. One of the group members stated that they had called the day before and was told the establishment didn't take reservations and to come in. It got worse from there. The hostess brought my daughter and I to our table muttering comments under her breath. 10 mins later, she sat the larger group. As the hostess brought them to two tables relatively close to one another and threw napkins and silverware down on to the table in a pile. And said "I have a table for 8 and a table for 4, that is the best I can do". And walked away. Well I guess that means 1 person gets to stand. Kudos to the ladies in the group, whom which maintained their composure throughout. I run a kitchen, and even during the busiest of times, would never treat anyone let alone customers in the regard. I will never spend my money there again. On a side note, our...

My wife and I love your restaurant and love your food. Our first time in, I think the owner came up and talked to us about ordering food for our children who have severe food allergies. We have ordered for them on a Saturday once before without issue. We called today, and because it is a Saturday and you, I guess are too busy, you were not able to accommodate our order. I understand about the staff shortages and at times how busy places can get, but then do not promise to work with food allergies one or more times and then just because you are busy you decide not to. It ruined our morning today. Thanks

I have come back after re-reading my review. I still stand by it, but this restaurant is top notch, so I am giving them 5 stars. It just is very frustrating to be told by either the owner or manager that order or come in any time, we will accommodate, and then this happens. If you do not have kids with food allergies and need to worry about that, this is a great place to eat. Good food, good service and good atmosphere. If you have kids with food allergies, understand they might not accommodate your issues if...
