Seafood Express — Restaurant in City of Auburn

I’d like to start off by saying I haven’t been to Seafood Express in some years. It was a staple on Fridays growing up as a child. Tonight’s experience makes me think much less of this establishment. I ordered 3 fish sandwich dinners and 1 baked haddock dinner. Once I placed the order the food was ready in about 10 minutes which was great. Picked up my order and headed home. Once I started to unwrap my order to eat I noticed there was no fish sandwiches! I opened my baked haddock to see that the piece of fish was as small as a fish filet from McDonalds! The baked haddock was not seasoned, and the fries were not salted. $18.50 for this dinner in itself. I headed back to the establishment to pick up my fish sandwiches. They apologized, but didn’t offer a discount to the order or a discount for a future order. I was really hoping for a great dinner. Ben meaning to try this place for awhile. This appeared to be more of a takeout restaurant. They don't really have any place to sit and eat right now it seemed. Ordered a pound of scallops and a order of crab bisque. The scallops were cooked well and not over or under done. I was a bit surprised by the crab bisque. It was filled with shredded artificial crab meat. So it wasn't like your typical crab bisque thick and creamy. Overall the food was good. Will probably pass on the crab bisque next...

I have been vacationing on Owasco Lake for years and have passed this establishment often. Checked their hours , ( note : only open Thursday’s and Fridays now). Got the crabmeat salad and Seafood Bisque. Both were exceptional. The crabmeat was chunky and low Mayo which is huge for me. The soup was delicious with lots of seafood and was savory. The gal working the front was pleasant and polite. The only negative is the limited dsys open. The food though was terrific. It appears...
