ordered lunch special price had gone up, but what hasn't lately. Shrimp w/garlic sauce and pork fried rice w/hot and sour soup. let me start by saying these are facts you can interpret weather or not you want to eat there. So soup was like and egg drop base with Tofu added. So just a gelatin broth with tofu and hot/sour species added - definitely was hot, still wiping the sweat off my forehead and drinking milk. Pork fries rice was plain rice with some pork and carrots added - no real flavor, but a good portion. the Shrimp/vegetable mix was OK as well . It only had 6 different vegetables beside the sauce and shrimp. Only 4 shrimp but a good size probably 16-20/pound. I would prefer a smaller shrimp but more quantity. Sauce was good. portion size was adequate but the lack of vegetable variety was sad. As I write this review, my oldest daughter is retching into a bucket and my youngest is curled up into a ball with abdominal cramps, from food poisoning. The Saturday before Easter, our family placed a large order for General Tso’s Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Cashew Chicken, and Mixed Vegetables in Garlic Sauce. Within a matter of hours of eating our meal, my father fell ill, followed by my daughters friend, then my oldest child, then my youngest; I only had waves of nausea and my mother was spared entirely. Vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramps, nausea… this matter has been reported to the health department, as the symptoms and timing fall in line with Staphylococcus aureus. We’ve been patronizing this Chinese restaurant to the exclusion of ALL others since 2006, we LOVED this place. Breaks my heart to say this, but I basically paid $70 to poison my entire family. I looked at the menu online and decided what to get from that. What I wanted was $6.99. When I got to the restaurant it was $3 more. I showed the owner his menu online and the price difference and he "didn't understand" and he said "no it's not $6.99!" I said this is YOUR web site. I would eat there on a regular basis in the past but because of recent financial problems I haven't been able to and today was going to be a treat to myself. I had to leave and scrape up $3 in change to pay the extra. I won't be eating there again any time soon. The food is great but it's dishonest and wrong and I think it's a low blow that he wouldn't stand behind HIS own restraunts...
