During this crazy time, even though it is not required to wear masks while working with food, employees of any restaurant should do so to make the guest feel safer. My last visit went bad. I was excited to go to shepherds. After Waiting outside for other guests, I went inside. Inside crammed next to other guests in the tiny ordering area, where there was a need for spacing, I got to order. After waiting a few minutes I noticed many unsafe food practices, no one wiped down any food or service counters an employee wiped his nose, hands were not washed. I decided to cancel our order. I did not feel safe to eat there anymore. An employee asked why, I gave a short explanation of workers were not wearing masks. She stated masks aren’t required, I said I know but they don’t hurt. She said okay, my wife and I said sorry for the trouble and proceeded to leave. As we left someone came out the back door to yell at me for canceling my order stating that we cost them $20. My wife said leave it be. We left I called to get the owners number, come to find out the girl who came to yell at me was the owner, I tried to explain to her Canceling our was not the biggest issue. Food safety and having a system in place to space out guests at this time is critical. She stated us canceling our 20.00 order was the biggest issue, she then said to never come back there and hung up on me. The owner was not listening and will now lose a loyal guest. Not too happy with that. Should have been handled much differently. Hope they will get a system in place and also that the COVID crisis will...
Read moreWorst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Wrong order received and was told I was wrong and was never offered any resolution. The guy was rude and made the extra effort to point out how I was wrong multiple times but he never apologized for the inconvenience or his poor service efforts. Then we didn’t see the curbside parking until we called to see why our ice cream wasn’t at our car yet after 20 minutes waiting out front and were told that we weren’t parked in the “designated “ curbside area, so they wouldn’t bring it out. I pulled around to the hidden non- visible shed they expected me to know was the pick up area and he told me that next time I should call earlier to let them know I’m there and next time I will “actually park in the curbside area” and “now You’ll know for next time”. I was appalled at the rude response and, like I said, not once received an apology or any sort of helpful response. Aftwr drivinf all the way home We realized that the 4 large sundaes we ordered weren’t there and instead we received 2 lg 2med. When we came back to resolve the issue He gave us the same (at this point very melted) ice creams back and showed us another cup size to try and convince us we were wrong. I will not be suggesting this place and will not go ever again as every time is a bad experience in one...
Read moreIt was our first time going to Shepherd’s Drive In and it was a horrible experience. We had a drive up at 1:39pm and we sat in our car and waited it then was 1:59pm and still nothing so I went inside and they already had our food done they said they just needed to bag it they then bagged the food and it sat there for like 5-10 minutes just on the counter because they kept saying to one another “ We got another order to take out “ they all seemed annoyed and they kept going back and forth. Finally a girl said the person is upfront so we got our food and I noticed when I looked at the ice cream it didn’t look at all like Ice cream and it tasted just like watered down milk at that point I didn’t want to deal with going back in and having to wait any longer. It did not let me add a picture of the ice cream on here so I posted it...
