I went with my friend this last Monday to watch the Iowa versus LSU women’s Elite 8 NCAA basketball game, and we both had never been there before. I was pleased from the google pictures of food, and thinking we could catch the game, we went in. There were plenty of tv’s streaming not just that game, but others. We were able to get a spot right in front of the bar, and watch the full game with other patrons. The bartender was nice, and we got ciders. Before long, the chicken spiedie pizza was calling, and curious, I ordered it. I am new to the area and have yet to try a traditional spiedie sandwich, so this was my first chance trying spiedie in general. The pizza was phenomenal, we ordered it with the garlic white sauce, and it paired beautifully with the marinated chicken spiedie chunks. The dough was perfect as well by being soft and strong, a good bar pizza, and novel concept for the spiedie. Definitely plan on returning to catch other March Madness games and try out other pizzas.

We stopped by the Relief Pitcher to listen to a local band. This visit was on a Saturday night between 9-11pm, the bar was not very busy. We sat at the bar and ordered a couple burgers and drinks. The staff were attentive and quick to respond to requests. The wait between ordering our drinks and food and receiving each item was short (about 10 minutes for the burgers), as was expected on a slow evening. The burgers were a bit on the greasy side, but I was very happy to see that the meat was cooked to order, well seasoned, and portioned correctly, not too much or too little meat and it wasn't bland and tasteless, an issue I have had with the last couple burgers I have ordered from other establishments. Overall our experience at the Relief Pitcher was a positive one. I will be sure to come back and I am glad to see another establishment that knows how to make a decent cheeseburger!

My family & I have been coming here for years, and we just absolutely love it. The new owner has made some great changes to the menu, as well as opening up a whole new section of the restaurant. It's perfect to come in and watch the game or hold private events. The menu has recently been completed revamped and it does not disappoint. If you stop by on the weekend the must have is the new "Hangover Burger" which I included a picture of! The atmosphere and service is always excellent, and the food and drinks speak for themselves. Truly a great place!

Overall the food isn’t too bad. Wings have been consistently good and the fries are very good. (Edit- as of another visit on May 17th, there has been a change in fries to a bland basic french fry. Do not recommend fries now unfortunately)But the inconsistency of their kitchen seems to be something that holds them back. I’ve got the chicken quesadilla 3 times and was like the ‘three bears’ (wet/soggy, over cooked/dry and just right). Pizza also in this same category as I’ve had good and bad. Pizza frite (fried dough) usually is amazing however the last couple times including last night it was clearly old dough where you could see the old sugar had caked on and the kitchen just sprinkled new sugar on top to make it look fresh. Wait staff are all great with one exception with a hit or miss older gentleman (maybe the owner?). Men’s bathroom could use more attending to throughout the day/night as I have gone in on multiple occasions when there are no towels. But that is an easy fix. All in all it’s a nice clean place with good staff. More often than not you will be satisfied with...

Great food for the most part and always a nice time to be had. The only downfall is speed of service if you choose to sit and eat, not @ the bar. My family and I went and we received our drinks slightly fast but after that it was all down hill.... nearly, if not more then 30 minutes b4 the server returned to take our order. A table sat while we were waiting and the woman had to get up and actually go to the bar to see I anyone was going to serve her or us @ all. Upon paying for our meal which was about $55 I gave the server $105 and asked for the change. We waited a very long time again and when she returned she said thank you and to have a nice night but did not give me my change. Sadly I had to ask her for the $50 change. When she gave it to me she made a snide remark that she thought I was tipping her that amount! I was quite offended and still tipped her decently regardless but being that I am a server myself I would NEVER EVER assume one was just leaving the change no matter the amount. Hoping for a better experience and a little better service next time. Thanks...

The restaurant was very slow as there were a total of 3 tables with people and maybe 8 people sitting at the bar. They had 3 waitresses and one male working. Along with a bartender. We waited about 20 minutes before someone even took our drink order. I assumed they were running behind with to go orders, but could visibly see the waitresses sitting at a table chatting and using there cell phones. After receiving our drinks we placed our order which included one appetizer, 1 cup chili, 2 salads,3 childrens meals, 2 orders of wings, and two adult meals. We waited for an hour before the even attempted to bring any of the food out, they brought out one childrens meal at a time spaced about 15 minutes apart. This was the worst restaurant service I have ever received, what should have been an hour visit out to eat turned into 2 hours of waiting. And trying to catch our food and ask where it is, to receive attitudes, and huffing and puffing. Beside the service our food was good, please be advised that you will be...
