Worst Applebee's manager in HISTORY
Had a friend visiting from Texas, she had brought her certified service animal with her, who was a very small senior dog that doesn't bark. Doesn't make noise doesn't do much of anything and he was in a shoulder bag carrier... first, the waitress began to give us a hard time because the carrier was sitting on the chair... We asked to speak to the manager. He'd come over in the first words out of his mouth. "The waitress is correct..." He didn't introduce himself, didn't tell us His name didn't even care.Just engages us in a hostile manner right out of the gate.
Didn't come over and explain to my friend. There may be some ridiculous NYS health department rule that involves the actual chair itself, there was no reason for his hostel attitude, or that this dog had to be put on the floor treated like a gym bag. Even though this dog is allowed to fly, sit in the seat on her lap,
He goes on with his cock attitude how he's been the manager for fifteen years and still doesn't know how to talk to customers wasnt impresive! I've literally been going to that location for fifteen years, and i've never seen the guy before in my life!
So he either doesn't ever engage the customers or work the floor like most managers or he's lying. I have no idea...
I really don't know that i'm going to continue to go to this particular location anymore. Especially after the way my friend was treated! She flew out from Texas to help me with some personal things. And it just wasn't the time or the place for a flex!
The dog was not eating off the table or bothering anybody. It was literally just IN a soft carrier on the Xtra chair...
The waitress continued to try to backtrack her entire interaction with us... think she knew her tip was gone...

She usually orders a salad with protein most times we eat out and I think they only have 2 or 3 options. There is always dead lettuce in it. We have complained about it when they first opened, but now she just picks it out and pay the bill and leave. She usually asks for the dressing on the side, because most of the time they are over dressed by most restaurant's but this time she forgot. It didn't matter though, as the salad was under dressed, and when we did catch the waitress on her way by, she asked for some. Two more passes by and I had to ask her again. By the time she brought it, my wife was almost done eating with have a bowl of lettuce left. I tried their brisket tacos, as they were a lower caloric choice and had veggies and coleslaw. They even put greasy, fried onion strings in the tacos. I did get the French fries as my other side, and they were good and crispy and not overly oily. The beer selection is terrible, with no real craft options. Sam Adams isn't craft beer anymore, and they support tRump, so I no longer buy their beer. They are always busy, so some people must like their food, but their customer's average weight must be 250lbs. Their food is greasy, salty and highly caloric. Their drinks, mixed and otherwise, are sugary and also highly caloric, and the non-alcoholic have unlimited refills. So maybe people go here for these reasons. Unfortunately, we will eat here once or twice a year as we have few options, and when no one feels like cooking, they are convenient. Our locally owned restraunts are similar in quality, but more inconsistent or they are more expensive. And that is...
Overall my experience was terrible. The server was a very nice lady and the environment in was bit loud as expected for a bar and grill location. However, the place is always cold so not very welcoming for that matter. I have ordered their Chicken lime, few kinds of burgers, boneless wings, several times onions rings and tonight chicken fajitas roll up. In five years living in this town and going to Applebees several times tonight is the last night ever visited. All this time I've been getting the same tasteless, empty, simple, unappealing, and desatisying. I understand it is a chain restaurant and they have to keep the same standard in all of them there for a lot of their food comes from a frozen bag that they microwave or deep fry. But that is not an excuse to keep delivering the same boring food. For the price posted on any of their meals and it's not worth to pay for salt. On another note there is no options for good quality healthier meal options. So tonight marks the very last time that I ever visited an Applebee's EVER. And I will speak of this experience anytime anybody invite me or speaks any good Applebee's until I ever see a changed from...
