My first Sandwich Chef experience was amazing. I raved to my family and friends about how fantastic the chicken salad tastes. It was the best chicken salad I had ever had in my entire life and I couldn't wait to try more items from Bonita's menu.
Second visit didn't go quite as well as the first. I planned to order the chicken salad and they were all sold out, which was fine, so I decided to try the buffalo chicken wrap. The chicken wrap was mediocre at best, but that wasn't even the worst part about my meal. The chicken was breaded, precooked, warmed in the microwave, placed on a wrap and served extremely soggy. I don't have an issue with cooking the chicken beforehand, but the chicken should have been served cold, that would have prevented it from becoming soggy, practically inedible mush. Why wouldn't someone just take the extra 5 mins and freshly grill or fry the chicken is beyond me. The chef also forgot to put the blue cheese on my wrap, so not only was it soggy, it was extremely bland. After all that, I can look past the wrap, what I can't look past was the small black hair I found while eating my potato salad. I immediately started dry heaving and thought I was going to lose it.
Third times a charm or so they say. My husband wanted to try the Sandwich Chef and I reluctantly agreed to giving it a third try. I ordered the veggie panini along with the potato salad. The veggie panini was good at first, until I took a second bite of potato salad and found a small black hair. What are the odds of eating at a resturant and 2 out of the 3 times I found hair in my food. How many other items have hair in them? I've eaten at certain restaurants 100s of times without ever having a hair in my food. I will never eat at that place again. I really wanted it to be good and sadly, it's disgusting....
Read moreWhile the food has always been good, decent at least, for sandwich shop. The customer service has always been horrible. Over the past year I have been many times and have heard something each trip in. From we don't have American cheese here, and then still getting American cheese on my sandwiches, we don't take your garbage, their own containers, and some crazy nonsense about trash removal like it's just so expensive. When they probably take the trash home and toss it on the curb where its taken for free. Or they say like oh no you can't change toppings because it messes the computer up, and the expect you to just take the sandwiches the way they are written but that's silly because not everyone likes honey mustard for ranch and would rather have mayo for example. They are just very very rude and their behavior is just so strange. Like who acts like this over their own take out garbage? If it's that much of an issue to afford trash collection then maybe they shouldn't be in business because obviously they...
Read moreStopped in wanting to support a local business and eat a little healthier than the rest stops. Food was great and prices very reasonable. All was well until I went in after eating outside to use the restroom. Walking out the man behind the counter beaconed me with an outstretched finger and barked at me like I was a misbehaving child! His coworker then mentioned I had picked up food already which seemed to solve his issue (but not his rudeness). Secondly I then asked if I could throw out the containers (which they provided) and was told they “didn’t have a trash can”. Ok - message received loud and clear. Stay away if you’re from out of town. Easily the rudest interaction I’ve had and seems like I’m not the only one sadly based on...
