I should really be giving 0 stars but 1 is even lucky for this so called "business". I tried placing an order in over a week in advance for my son's birthday cake and got short responses back and eventually never got a reply til the day I needed the cake. It is very unprofessional and upsetting as the business was posting on instagram still about cake inquiries while I never got a reply back to mine. The bio on instagram says "DM FOR INQUIRIES " which I don't recommend because they don't ever answer and if they do they ask for little information and never respond again. I tried to support the neighborhood black business because that is the right thing to do but this just showed me I will never try to support anyone's business in Poughkeepsie again as I experienced this horrible customer service. Save your time and don't inquire about a cake from them. They know it is their fault because she tried offering me a discount and saying she usually need a 2 weeks in advance notice but she never said that from the beginning or else I would've placed a order somewhere else she initiated she will place the cake order and even asked me little questions...

I visited Simpleez Cafe & Bakery with my wife, excited to support a local business. The food was good—not amazing, but enjoyable. We ordered a croissant sandwich with a bottle of water, and an egg wrap with veggies and bacon, along with a coffee. The flavors were decent, but several things fell short.

First, for the high prices, the portions were quite small and didn’t include any sides. On top of that, they charged extra for things that felt excessive and unnecessary—like switching to a croissant or adding vegetables to a wrap. For what you pay, the value just isn’t there.

Even though we said we’d be dining in, our food was handed to us wrapped in aluminum foil, as if it were to-go. And even if it had been to-go, it wasn’t placed in a bag—it was just covered only by the aluminum and left on the table, which felt careless and unhygienic. They also didn’t provide any utensils, napkins, or plates.

I truly enjoy supporting local spots, but with these service issues and the pricing, I believe there’s room for improvement. Hopefully, they can take this feedback...

I was in the area with my daughter for an appointment and had some time to spare. We googled near by and came across this spot. We took a short walk and when we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff. I ordered a Caramel Cappuccino, Bacon, Egg and cheese with Ketchup on a wrap, Mozzarella sticks, Toasted bagel with butter and a can of Pepsi. It is a cute shop, there are tables and chairs and a seating area with a TV to watch while you wait for your food. I have to say the Bacon, Egg, cheese wrap was the best I have had in a long time. Everything was cooked perfectly! The food in general was very good no complaints. The price was 25.00 for everything which I feel in today's economy that is fair for fresh made food and coffee.
