Shoulda known better. Almost 3 weeks ago I went to this location and the they accidentally charged me for my order and the person behind me at the drive thru. The 2 women working had a full blown argument in front of me about who charged me what, and then proceeded to blame what appeared to be a new employee. I couldnât take it anymore, so I stepped in and tell them to consider it a âpay it forwardâ because they could not figure out how to fix it and they were holding me up from an appointment. They were totally ok with just keeping the money for the double order and almost relived when I came up with the idea, like âoh that makes total sense for us to not fix this! Thanks!â My fault for coming up with the idea, but I had to leave and didnât have time to watch them berate each other for however long.
Today, I was in a pinch and stopped here since I live down the road. I ordered a medium iced coffee with 1 pump of Carmel swirl and cold foam. I was handed a BLACK, like tar black, iced coffee with a chunk of Carmel at the bottom and next to no cold foam. I took a sip after trying to stir it, and it literally made my tongue tingle it was so bitter. Currently sitting here with massive heart burn due to that one sip.
Based off of prior experience, of asking the staff to fix a drink, I chose to leave with it. Last time this happened I had 3 girls come to with the window when I asked to fix it, and they approached me like they were ready to fight about it. Why 3 girls needed to come to the window to address fixing a drink is beyond me. They blamed it on the fact that I had only get 1 pump of Carmel so thatâs why it was so bitter tasting and that maybe I just didnât know what I wanted.
Iâve been hitting up the locations on Mt. Read and Dewey, because of the bad experiences Iâve had at this lake ave location, and ordered the same drink every day, no issues, taste like liquid gold. They donât give a shit at this lake ave location.
Just for context, and a bonus story; prior to the forced pay it forward matter 3 weeks ago, the line at the drive through was so long, and someone honked their horn because at this location has two paths that lead to the drive through, and the traffic was backing up into Denise rd. The honk I think was intended to let the person know they need to stop blocking the road. This set off the worker inside and she exited the back exit, next to the speaker at the drive through, and screamed at the line of cars, saying something like âare you kidding me ?!?!â
Hot mess express at this location. ...
Read moreAlthough I have only been to this DD's location about 3 times, all 3 visits have been pretty good.
The last time I was there, the 2 frozen coffees my sister and I got were really strong like "coffee stuck at the bottom bitter type of strong" but with all the pumps of this and splashes of that, caramel, whipped cream on them/inside the cup that still didn't help? So because our mom only lives 2 mins from this location and they were not cheap enough to just let it go(because what I didn't know but what my daughter who's worked at the DDS in Chili Walmart, said it's 25 cents for every pump u ask for? A lot of these DD employees don't give the customers all the pumps they ask for, but then get attitudes because a coffee person knows exactly how their coffee should taste like? đ¤ˇ)
I do agree with the drive thru time being very long, and there shouldn't be a reason because the inside was empty and ppl in front of us in DT, were only getting drinks handed out the window to them, but then we noticed that only 2 female employees was there alone? The young lady at the window was the sweetest employee I've came across in the longest time!!! I hope y'all are sitting down for this one.....SHE ACTUALLY ASKED WHAT KIND OF BITTER WAS OUR DRINKS??? So after being shocked we finally told her they tasted like bitter old coffee at the bottom of the coffee maker. She took the time to clean everything out remade our drinks, we tasted them, told her she should be "Employee of the Year" and left! đ
Ijs, if some employees tried harder to get orders right instead of just giving customers attitude(and vice versa, because I know some customers are difficult and nasty to deal with)things would run smoother? Have a blessed day...
Read moreHonestly this morning I went there and it was super annoying!! I asked for a large hot coffee and I wanted cheddar bagel twists but they were out by 9:00 a.m. on a Sunday.... No cheddar bagel twists?! So I wanted to get a bagel instead I asked what kind of bagels do you have ....she said we have all of them.... so I said okay do you have blueberry.... no..... okay do you have onion .....no.... and then she said we have all our regular flavors.... so I said well I don't know what your regular flavors are so could you tell me what you have..... which was the original question I asked her in the beginning of all of this! It would have been so much easier for her to just give me the selection instead of me trying to guess what kind of bagels they had and being told "NO" both times and then her getting an attitude and being annoyed because I didn't know what kind of bagels they carry?! So I select the sesame seed bagel toasted with cream cheese. They gave me a large iced coffee. I said no I asked for a large hot coffee so she charged me on my card for the large iced coffee which is more expensive. She acted like I did something wrong when I specifically said large hot coffee I even had a friend on the phone that verified I said it out loud. When I opened my bagel it was definitely not toasted! So I guess I won't be going to this convenient location for a while or at least not in the morning!! I realized sometimes people have an off day but in all honesty I tried my best as a customer to help lead her through an easy conversation and she just wanted to be argumentative all the way through...... I go to dunkin' donuts at least twice a...
