Pudgie's Pizzeria — Restaurant in City of Rochester

A Rochester classic, lots of menu options besides pizza and there's ice cream too. Arcade games for the kids, great seating for dining in and the tables and dining area are usually clean. The employees are well trained and friendly and service is pretty quick (they do have their busy times though and the line can get long). Food always tastes good and their pizza has a unique flavor that's truly their own, which means you will crave a Pudgies now and then, no other pizza will do. Great meeting spot for informal gathering, take the family out, keep the kids happy or date night before or after an event. If I have family or friends staying in Rochester General Hospital, this place is the ultimate dining choice due to its proximity to the hospital. The surrounding neighborhood does have its challenges but the front parking lot is well lit and you can keep an eye on your car if you park in front. Back parking lot has cameras I believe. I've parked in both many times and never had any issues. There is lots of foot traffic and the ordering area can get crowded with lots of hungry folk. 2024Q1 Still great food and service. The Inferno wings are tasty and hot but definitely not too hot. Prices are up, in line with the inflation of the last three years. Still the best in the neighborhood and I always go here for our family parties. 2022 Was in the neighborhood and searched Google for high-ranked pizzerias in the area. We were in the mood for something more conventional than artisanal and I agree with the high ratings this Pudgies has received. Their dining area is quite nice, their pick up counter efficient, the on-premises ice cream in between the two areas is wonderful, their menu is substantial, including some very nice pasta dishes, the staff was courteous and quick, and the pizza... Oh yes, the pizza -- Fantastic! We ordered to 17-inch with lots of toppings and a 12-inch spinach-feta. The latter was super tasty. On the large we got a ton of veggies and meat. Good pizza. Probably the best pizza in the proximity around the Irondequoit area but they are in the city. I'd put their pizza up against Amicos which is probably the best in Irondequoit. The guy answer the phone was very friendly. Place very clean inside. Ordered sheet pizza and asked for 20 plates for a kids party they said they could only give me 15. The guy that took my order was on the phone with a customer and interrupted "the vender fell through and didn't deliver enough plates" and that they need to use dollar store plates. They were nice to give me 25, but gave.them back probably around 10 back since they were making a big deal about it.
