I just had to share my absolutely AMAZING experience at El Jarocho Mexican Restaurant and Bar. Seriously, if you're looking for authentic, mouth-watering Mexican food, look no further – you've found the jackpot! From the moment I walked in, I was blown away. The recent makeover is gorgeous! The atmosphere is so warm and inviting, like you've stepped right into a family fiesta. But let's talk about the food. Forget everything you think you know about Mexican food, because El Jarocho is on a whole different level of deliciousness. Every dish bursts with authentic flavors, clearly made with fresh ingredients and a whole lot of love. I honestly think it's the most authentic Mexican food I've had outside of Mexico itself! And here's the best part: the prices are unbelievably incredible! You can enjoy a truly fantastic, filling meal without breaking the bank. It's rare to find such high quality at such affordable prices these days. Finally, I have to mention the friendly atmosphere. The staff is so welcoming and attentive, making you feel right at home. They truly care about providing a great dining experience. So, if you haven't tried El Jarocho yet, you are seriously missing out! Do yourself a favor and head on over. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Very impressive down to earth Mexican restaurant! Friendly greeting when walking in, was seated right away. Got warm chips and salsa within a minute of sitting down, a must for any Mexican restaurant. Salsa was tasty, a little watery and tomato heavy, but good spice and fresh cilantro flare to it. Standard margarita is very good! A little on the sweet side but great flavor and you can definitely tell there is a good amount of tequila in it. Oh and its happy hour 4-7? Only $3? I'll definitely have a second one. Menu is very comprehensive. I had the burrito tejana. Excellent burrito with grilled steak, chicken, shrimp and bell peppers topped with a queso. Queso gave new life to my tortilla chips and was very good, albeit a little on the sweet side vs spicy. Overall excellent and I'll definitely go back! Only complaint was that there were some fruit flies visible, hard to keep them away with all the sugary drinks and not unheard of for a more dive setting, but it's still a factor. Go, you'll enjoy!

Rome, NY, hardly an inviting place in early January, but we held out hope of a comforting Mexican meal on cold night as part of a biz trip. Location was super convenient to the Hampton Inn. The place was empty except for one other table. We asked if they were still open and were warmly reassured they were. Asked the host/server for recommendations and chose the carnitas from.among them. Unfortunately it did not delight. It was over cooked and dried out. The portion was ample and the service was great, almost too attentive as we were even visited twice by what appeared to the owner. Rice, beans, flour tortillas all standard stuff with avocado a nice extra. The best thing of the whole meal was the margarita. It helped warm the spirit and ultimately the review.

Carry out. Not impressed, to say the least...refried beans from a can..."special order" Taquitos Mexicanos, nothing special about it- shell so hard I about broke a tooth, contained 3 tiny pieces of "steak". Sour cream looked like cottage cheese?? Didn't touch it. The only thing that was ok was the tamales. Won't let me post a picture. Edit....Sir, . glad you think your establishment is top notch but I am allowed my opinion.. 8 pieces of steak huh?? I so wish I could post a picture because there was literally 3 TINY pieces of "meat" in both. The chicken was fine. Your telling me that on a Wednesday with 0 people in the dining area that you go threw 10 gallons of refried beans??
