New Star — Restaurant in Claremore

We came to Oklahoma to visit with some of my Ohana. My beautiful Wahine Queen and I are from Texas and we've had Chinese several times before. I asked the Server if the Cook was Chinese out of curiosity. I was informed that in fact they were. We ordered one of our favorites which was Triple Delight one Spicy and the other one not spicy. The dishes were much better than what we had in Texas. The atmosphere was authentic with the music playing in the background. As it turned out we were the only ones who ate with Chopsticks. In Texas the Cooks are Hispanic, so you can imagine our surprise. The restaurant was a very pleasant place to sit down and have a bite to eat. From what we were told the Owner was Chinese and they were picky about who they allowed in the kitchen. That tells me that they want the dishes to be as close to authentic as possible. I would most definitely recommend this place for a meal. The Server was very pleasant and we didn't have to wait for any refills since she was on point. It's a nice quaint restaurant with a medium sized parking lot, so parking at their peak hours may be fun to find. There is wheelchair accessibility here. They don't have a Military Discount, however from what I understand it is not required. I wouldn't let that sway anyone from eating...

All the food is very bland. No flavor development over high heat via the Maillard reaction, as you would generally expect, leaving you with unpleasing soggy veggies/meat bathed in also generally flavorless gravy. Similarly with all the fried rices (3 types) we tried. The amount of meat in the dinner entree (avg over 4 entrees) was 19g (

First time customer. I ordered an egg roll, egg drop soup, beef lo mein, pork fried rice. I was impressed with the amount of food I received, the quality, and there was enough lo mein/fried rice for at least 2 meals. The lady who waited on me was professional and friendly. My order was packaged for take out to perfection. Not a chance anything would leak, spill or fall over. I appreciated the care taken. It is difficult to get in and out of the parking lot due to the construction currently going on. The only thing I didn’t like was they are not open for indoor dining.
