I ordered Szechuan Chicken with Pork Fried Rice and a bottle of coke, and it cost over $20.00. That is terrible value. Furthermore, the fried rice did not have a good flavor to it, and did not have egg. The pork in the fried rice was very good, but that was the only good thing about it. Also, the Szechuan Chicken had a nice flavor to it, but there was hardly any chicken at all, mostly vegetables. And I'm not exaggerating. It was a stunningly low Chicken to Veggie ratio, unlike any other Chinese place I've eaten at.
Lastly, the service was not good. I placed my order over the phone, and I live in a basement apartment. When I explained to him that the driver would need to go to the side gate and deliver it to the back door, he said "Well, my job is to just take you order." I then said, "well would it be too much trouble for you to relay that to who ever's job it is to deliver the food?". He agreed to do so. When the driver delivered the food he made a sarcastic comment about the door being the "back door, not the side door as you told the clerk." I said, I did not tell the clerk that, I told him to enter the side gate, and knock on the back door.
I'm sure some of this is language barrier, but an attitude problem and an unwillingness to please their customers had nothing to do with language, but rather a lack of commitment to their customers. Needless to say, I will be taking the 10 minute trip to Damascus to order from Panda East for future Chinese food. This was just a terrible experience, and way too pricy for their...
Read moreHeard about the new owners and wanted to give them a shot. Ordered for delivery and they still take CC info over the phone??? (Get a square or something). Food came quickly and there is a lot of it. But it really doesn't taste like anything. We ordered General Tso's Chicken "Extremely Spicy". This tasted more like BBQ chicken. The Egg Rolls had not a hint of grease, or taste. Steamed dumplings were more of the same. The chicken wings were the biggest disappointment and went right in the trash. Pretty disappointed. No one finished their food. It's been over 10 years since we ate there... Looks like it will be another 10.
(Old owners. Original Review) We ordered from them back when they first opened. SUGAR!!! Everything tasted like sugar. The General Tso's tasted more like Sour Patch Kids, than chicken. Nothing appealing about the food so we...
Read moreMy wife and I have been getting delivery from China Spring for at least twice a month for three years now, and we are the edge of their delivery area (about 10 minutes away). Knowing that, we almost always order in the neighborhood of $40-45 of food, and ALWAYS tip 25% to the driver (on top of them charging a delivery fee). Today, out of nowhere, they tell us they will only deliver with a $50 Minimum. We explained how long we have been getting delivery from them, and that as two semi-senior citizens, that represents more food than we can possibly eat - and that we couldn't do that. Bottom line: the rude young woman answering the phone could care less, and let us know they didn't care whether they had our business or not. Guess they don't need our $1,200 a year and our $300 in tips. WON'T BE ORDERING FROM...
