This place is definitely a bit underrated. The idiot who talks about horrible customer service obviously has way too high standards or else just had a bad experience because he/she is far too picky. Everything from my phone call to place my order to the pick up of my pizza was 5 star customer service.
I ordered a 14" pizza on a Tuesday (they have a Tuesday special where you get 6 free toppings). $9.99 for as 6-topping 14" pizza is a great deal considering how delicious this pizza was. I was originally planning on ordering pizza hut or dominos but super glad I decided against it (as it would've cost me more with delivery charges).
Anyways, my order was the following... 14" medium 6-topping pizza with:
White Sauce instead of Red Sauce - 9/10 rating: This sauce was DELICIOUS. A nice light garlicy flavor. Only reason it lost a point was because it could've used a tad bit more sauce -- easy fix, just ask them to put more sauce on it.
Pepperoni - 9/10 rating: I, personally, like my pepperoni overcooked and while most of the pieces had a bit of crispiness to them, they could've been a bit more crispy. For the layman, though, the pepperoni was perfectly cooked.
Extra Cheese - 10/10 rating: This is a must. Nuff said.
Pineapple - 10/10: Canned, I'm pretty sure, but this is the case in most places... and honestly, it doesn't make a big difference to me if it's canned or fresh... the pineapple was delicious nonetheless.
Jalapenos - 8/10: Added a nice pickled flavor and had the perfect amount of heat. Could've probably gone for a bit more crispiness, but tasted delicious nonetheless.
Meatballs - 6/10: They were okay. Didn't taste bad, but definitely wouldn't bother getting them again. Added some texture, but were cut up so they were essentially just sausage rather than actual meatballs as I was hoping they'd be. Would definitely replace this with a different topping for my next order.
Mushrooms - 5/10: Canned mushrooms. They didn't taste bad and they added some texture, but I would've been better off adding a different topping. Definitely wouldn't pay for this topping, but I also won't lose any sleep over putting them on my pizza as a free topping. Will definitely replace these with a different topping in the future.
Crust (Original) - 10/10 rating: The crust was perfectly seasoned and had the perfect amount of bread to topping ratio. It was not overly oily and was pretty much perfect, all around.
Overall experience - 9.5/10 rating: The customer service was dynamite and the food was really good. I never ever take the time to write reviews, but considering the poor image this place has online, I felt it was worth the time to write a review. Would eat again provided that there are deals available, because overall, the joint is a bit...
Read moreSorry, but this was the worst meal I've had in several months. I ordered the baked ziti, Cesar salad, garlic bread, and wings. The wings were the only edible item I received.
The pasta was not baked ziti, done correctly. It looked and tasted like someone had poured old (slightly turned) pasta sauce over some noodles they had boiled a few days ago and stuck in the fridge. The pasta sauce was supposed to be meat sauce, but if it had meat in it, you couldn't see any. It also smelt and tasted bad. I tossed it after a couple of bites, worried it would make me sick.
The cesar salad was also a lazy attempt at a real Cesar salad. The lettuce was decent enough, but the croutons were either stale or mush. I found a few cheese strands tossed off too the side, and the side cup of dressing tasted more like a house oil and vinegar than Cesar dressing.
The garlic bread looked and tasted like a squished hot dog bun. It was burnt and maybe had some oil or margarine on it, but I remember thinking "how can an Italian place screw up garlic bread so bad?"
I've never had their pizza, so maybe it's just a case of a pizza place that takes no pride in their other items? Or maybe I caught them on a bad night? , but honestly everything I ordered was simple and should have been at least average. I wasn't expecting a gourmet meal, just a quick dinner. Ended up throwing everything away except for the wings and half of the salad, and making some spaghetti...
Read moreI am a vegetarian. I ordered a large pizza ($23) from here upon my niece's request. I have had vege greek pizzas from every other pizza places and assumed that it was a vege pizza here too, but turns out that their pizza has beef and lamb on it. I called the store and shared that I don't eat beef for religious reason. I was given an option to throw it away and buy another one for $24? "Come on- give me an option to prove you that I really did not touch it and have it delivered to food bank or something. Help me here with some negotiable alternative because my lunch plan got really messed up. I let go of the idea of spending $47 at this point to be able to eat a slice of vegetarian pizza with family." So disappointed! It's my fault though-really that I did not look up their ingredients for every single pizzas. I am never going to Manhattan pizza anymore. My local Italian people in my town gives a free cheese pizza if customers experience such situation with their orders. This is why, in terms of customer service and customer satisfaction- you guys at this location in Clarksburg need to put some effort. My sole purpose to review here is to share my perspective and thought so that you can improve your service....
