I wish I didnāt have to give a star at all because they gave zero cares about the poor quality seafood that they sold me. I drove over an hour from Hampton to purchase blue crabs from them. The crabs were $6.49 lb and I purchased (6) crabs which totaled $22.22. When I got home, I made my garlic butter sauce and thought I was about to indulge in a tasty treat, only to find out that the crabs were hollowed and looked rotten inside. I only opened two out of the six because I felt it was fruitless to try any more. I immediately called them to let them know my experience and the person on the phone treated me like I and my money meant nothing to him. He told me āyou picked them out, it is not our fault.ā I kept trying to explain to him that regardless of the fact that I chose those particular crabs, they sold me bad product. He felt that I was being rude because I kept asking him was he understanding the concept of what I was saying and he kept repeating that Iām the one who picked out the crabs; never owning the fact that they sold me bad product. Needless to say, Iāve taken pictures of the product which I still have stored in my refrigerator and I contacted my bank to refund the purchase. I was honestly willing to drive back to get crawfish or shrimp to replace the crabs but that was not an option that he was willing to accommodate for me. By the time I ended the call, my disappointment was sheer frustration because he refused to try to make good on bad product that was sold to me. Iāve been coming here off and on for years and have recommended this place to countless people to this establishment (but I usually get the crawfish which Iāve never had a problem with). My biggest disappointment is in the fact that he literally had no understanding of what I was telling him and made himself the victim in the situation when I was as nice and polite as a person could be considering the fact that they just drove over two hours (both ways) to patronize a business that canāt relate to a simple complaint or understand basic English to resolve a problem that could cost them far more than $22.22. I will never patronize this establishment again, nor will I recommend anyone else who asks me where they can find good seafood from. They didn't ask if I wanted my shrimp deviled and when I mentioned it he said quickly it's too late and dismissed me. The corn was old and tough, the only thing that was decent was the potatoes and snow crab. The crawfish were old and recooked you could tell they had been sitting in that water for a very long time the shells were dark in color and very thin and fragile some even had rotting spots on them. Out of disgust I immediately threw them away not thinking to take a photo, report it nor review. But as I sat here thinking today of the disappointment and waste over $60 in my hard earned cash money, I thought I should write a review so they are aware they need to focus a little more on quality instead of being so rude to the people who support their business. The guy really handled me in a manner of making me feel like I was beneath them and they don't need our business. It was really funny after he told me my total and I pulled cash out of my pocket he smiled and after looking at all those extra fees on my recipept one being an EBT charge which he assumed I'd be using as a form of payment. I only know what one of the three additional $3 charges was for after I left due to calling and someone rudely told me that one was for EBT I tried to explain that I paid cash and I was rudely rushed off the phone. There was an older Asian gentleman who Iāve never seen before he told me āhey, I saw thatā as I was picking out my crab legs and I was so confused. I was like you saw what? Iām not hiding anything. He said I saw you break off a crab leg and you canāt do that. I just apologized and kept it moving because I donāt argue with ppl who are making my food but Iāve never heard of not being able to pick out the weight of your crab legs. I didnāt want 2 whole clusters. I only wanted one cluster but the cluster I picked only had 4 legs and I wanted 5. I didnāt see a cluster with 5 legs that looked appetizing so I did what I did and I donāt see anything wrong with it. As a guest patronizing I should be able to pick out the weight of my crab legs. This probably wonāt stop me from coming back but I just wanted to leave a review because Iām a food connoisseur and I didnāt like this...
