Gigi's Cupcakes — Restaurant in Clarksville

My job takes me around the world and I have been to just about every Gigis cupcakes you can think of. I can name the cities without looking at a list. I have had every single cupcake from every day. I know this because I was obsessed at one point. With that said we finally got a Gigis in Clarksville Tn and it is the worst in consistency with the cupcakes and customer service. My favorite cupcake is red velvet. I purchased one from this store and when I got home I noticed it was a chocolate cupcake with no hint of red or red velvet type of taste but it was decorated like the red velvet cupcake (cream cheese icing and red sprinkles). I was so disappointed I called to inform them that they may have iced the wrong cupcakes. I didn't get a sense of I'm sorry from them I got a sense of them telling me to come back and prove it. I live 10 minutes away so I got in the car and took it back. Then I was told it was correct and red velvet is chocolate. I know red velvet cupcakes are made with coco powder but it is NOT just chocolate and includes othwr ingredients to change thw taste. She proceeds to the back to get a red velvet cupcake; she brought back a cupcake to prove it but it was as red as can be and looked nothing like the brown cupcake I had in my possession. I commented "now thats now its supposed to look, thats red velvet". She finially gave me another cupcake but I couldn't believe all I had to do to plead my case and get another cupcake with all the money I have spent with this company on a regular. Anyone that knows me knows i am cupcake obsessed. I will NOT return to this store nor will I recommend it. I'd rather drive to Nashville where I know the service and cupcakes are...

These cupcakes were for my daughters gender reveal party. First of all we tried three times to finally place the order. My wife went to the store on a Friday as the gender reveal was the following Saturday... so a week out. At the store no one was there to take the order and she was assured that someone would call her the next day to take the order and that did not happen. Monday my wife called in the order, Tuesday she received a call and was told that the design was not possible and asked if she wanted to cancel, Which we should have done, but we were in a jam as Saturday was fast approaching. My wife at that point just ordered plain cupcakes with pink icing in the center and asked if they would be ready at 230 Saturday. At 2 she was called and advised the cupcakes had been burned and they were starting over but would be ready at 230 but not any earlier. We went to the store at approximately 240 and they were not ready. Finally at about 3 they were brought out and bagged. To be fair we did get a discount for taking so long but still made us very late to the party and when it came time for the cupcakes we opened the box and....look at the pics. Their cupcakes are delicious and I love that they make -champagne cupcakes- and offer vegan, gluten free and low sugar options. I do wish the lemon champagne cupcakes had a little more flavor (like a tart lemon icing and more champagne flavoured cake base) their regular icing on the cupcakes lean more on the sweet side but the base was fluffy and perfect. The cupcakes are a good size too with plenty of icing for that sweet tooth craving. My husband would give them 5/5 with how much he loves sugary sweets. Haha. However, That is me being critical! I gave the 4/5 stars because they are really expensive in my personal opinion. I spent $22 for only 5 cupcakes. I do also wish they offered a first time customer discount as I've only been once. I will be coming back because they are the best around with their flavor selections. I personally would love to see more fruit tart/sweet or nutty combinations. I would also like to see if they would think of offering some type of reward program because I am a cupcake connoisseur and will probably go once...
