Mugsy's Coffee Co M2 — Restaurant in Clarksville

Ordered two bagels and while cutting the bagels to be toasted, the employee cut her finger and had to get someone to take over. The knife was halfway through the bagel and the injured employee came back up front and removed the knife from the bagel. The employee that took over looked back at me to see if I noticed what had happened. She then turned around and grabbed another knife and began cutting the same bagel. I had to interject and advise her I no longer wanted that bagel. She said “oh I completely understand”. Why wouldn’t the bagel be thrown out and a fresh one provided, especially since there could have been hazardous bodily fluids on there?! Unacceptable. I do hope the lady who injured her finger is ok but I will never go back there. If that was done and observed by me, imagine what they do when no one is looking. The area was never cleaned after the cut either. I had to watch like a hawk to make sure my bagels didn’t touch that area of the counter again, before wrapped. No bueno! It’s a bagel, a $.30 loss to subject a customer to potential sickness. Very poor...

Oh my GOODNESS!!!! I had the BEST sausage, egg and cheese biscuit right here in this place! I am 54 years old and have probably eaten a million sausage, egg and cheese biscuits in my life, but this one was perfect! When my name was called once it was ready, I got up from my seat, turned around and there it was. It looked picture-perfect! I stared at it as I returned to the table. It was beautiful. How could I eat such a wonderful specimen of food!?!? A: with my mouth, that's how. 😁 It was so tasty and delightful...

Oh, sorry! I got hung up on the food. I have been to this location twice and both times the coffee is wonderful. The atmosphere is small, but cozy. The service is top -notch! The prices are on the mark. Did I mention the sausage, egg and cheese biscuit??? Oh, I did?

Be sure to check out this place and I recommend getting a...I won't say it...

I'm basing my rating purely on the service and the steeped whole bean bags my wife purchased.

Firstly, the staff is always nice and courteous every time we stop by, and it's always clean.

Secondly, my wife enjoys their brewed coffee to order and I enjoy the whole bean which I ground finely and put through an expresso machine. I take my regular coffee black and my expresso with a little half and half to curb the bitter. So I'm judging entirely on the flavor of the bean. The first bag my wife got me was "Grog." Described flavor profile as a vanilla, caramel and whiskey bean. Wow, that thing is an absolute winner. I currently have the NSDQ, which is a ROBUST coffee bean. It definitely perks you up.

I will continue to support this local establishment well...
