Best bakery in town. Here, there are many treats besides a tried and true fruitcake they are famous for. Fresh treats daily. Fresh sausage rolls daily. Cold drinks and hot coffee. Regular cup o' Joe, but also gourmet flavored coffee... Specific flavor each day. Good, strong coffee... Delish. Front end staff usually is just one person, and all are very polite and welcoming. You may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Mr John in the background. Grab a bag of prepackaged treats to take home. Brownies are highly recommended.... Although I haven't tried anything I didn't enjoy. Inside is small but there are a few tables to sit and eat. Outdoor seating as well. They close at 2:00 pm during the week. But get there early. May-June 2021 - My new “best fruit cake” stop. We stopped in town because of a sign we saw for Claxton Fruitcakes. Their shop was closed and we decided to try this place. So glad we did. Great little bakery, good coffee and super congenial staff. We bought the bourbon fruit cake, served it to family, and everyone loved it! Definitely one of the best fruitcakes I’ve ever had! Very good brownies that comes in the brown bag on the table in there, I stopped in every Saturday when I come through there from my during the week trucking routes. The lady who bakes is super nice and sweet lady, she talks to you like she been knowing you all your life. Very friendly and clean atmosphere.
