It was a beautiful sunny day yesterday so my hubby and I decided to take a little road trip from Upper Bucks County to Fox Meadows Creamery....about a 1-1/2 hour drive. Had read a few reviews and wanted to form our own opinions. Overall we were not disappointed! I had the tomato bisque soup with 1/2 grilled cheese and hubby the melted ham and cheese pretzel roll. We both enjoyed. Unfortunately the french fries he ordered on the side were a bit of a disappointment...not crispy but quite soggy. We then ordered the ice cream treats...a seasonal special called strawberry shortcake baked fox ..simply strawberry ice cream sandwiched between two shortcake shells and covered with whipped cream and a fresh strawberry for me and for him...two scoops...mocha chocolate brownie and cookies and cream. Both were delicious! Even though it was crowded the service was great and fairly quick. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There was also a small gift shop with food and trinkets. I purchased two beaded bracelets and a pair of earrings. Glad we finally got to enjoy and hopefully can return...
Read moreFox Meadows Creamery is our favorite place to go for ice cream. They have their own dairy farm, so they literally provide their customers with fresh ice cream from the cow to the creamery. They offer a wide variety of regular flavors, as well as about 6 feature flavors that change frequently. They offer fruit flavors, chocolate options, unique creative flavors, and more. In addition to their great ice cream, they offer a lunch menu with sandwich, wrap, and salad choices. They also have coffee and chai and other drink options, as well as a little country style store with specialty food items, including many of their ice cream flavors available in pint, quart, and even gallon size containers. The store also offers a few artisan crafted items. The creamery's environment is clean and family friendly. The employees are helpful, friendly, and courteous and the prices are reasonable. Read moreThis was our first time here and we will likely be back. The atmosphere is a little overwhelming and you can tell this place is popular. The large parking lot was full. We came about an hour before closing- a dark weekend evening and the line was long. They had plenty of staff so the line travels fast. The checkout area was a little confusing as people spread and they just call out the item instead of an order number so anyone could grab the food. Staff were young and friendly. They allow sampling of the ice cream flavors. There is also a nice food variety for lunch that we would like to try. We got a Medium (3 scoop) waffle bowl with mint chocolate chip ice cream and Large cookies & cream milkshake. We also got cookies & cream and Brookie Dough containers to go which were delicious. The ice cream is smooth and creamy. They had a variety of items for sale that the lines spins through- pretzels, snacks, stickers, accessories, knick knacks,...
