We stumbled upon this restaurant through a search on the map. We placed our order on the phone for carry out. We ordered the Italian sandwich, the summer berry salad, and the children’s chicken tenders times two; one with coleslaw, and one with fries. Everything was AMAZING! The quality of the ingredients was outstanding. The fruit was fresh and clean, the grilled chicken and avocado on the salad were perfect. Everything was prepared with care and thoughtfulness. The portions were generous and filling. The restaurant was clean, cozy, and welcoming. We were able to use the restrooms while we waited for just a brief moment for our order to be ready. The staff even let me request some stickers for souvenirs :). We grabbed a fresh iced tea and a fresh red velvet monster cookie. And neither disappointed! As a tea snob, I was very impressed!
This restaurant had very affordable pricing. As a family of 4, we spent $37 on wonderful, fresh-cooked meals. We can’t even do that at most fast food restaurants, where the ingredients are definitely sub par.
I cannot recommend this restaurant enough…my only complaint is that they are so far from my home in Florida!

Read moreI had googled for food along I-70 west on my way to Columbus, and the Farmhouse popped up. It was a quick and easy on/off the interstate. I was shocked at how quickly my order was ready. I got the Philly cheesesteak. It was hot and delicious, though I must say a little messy to eat while you’re driving ;0. But it was so good, I had a hard time resisting. I chose waffle fries, which had some type of mildly spicy batter coating on them. Stopping here was definitely, definitely better than stopping at any fast food along the I – 70 corridor. And I always like to give business to small, family owned businesses. They did not have too many items in their bakery case that morning, so I cannot comment on their bakery items, but the roll for the Philly cheesesteak was definitely freshly home-baked and delicious!! This will be my new stop along the route, both to/from...
Read moreA great little locally-owned spot! I had read the owners' story and was looking forward to visiting this restaurant, and it did not disappoint! The food was very good, and quick too.
But the absolute highlight was the bakery. They had a great selection of beautifully prepared cupcakes and treats, but the food was so filling that I couldn't get anything for myself, so I brought my kids a special treat - I don't even know what you would call it, but it was a sliced donut with frosting inside, decorated with Lucky Charms marshmallows. I thought it was cute and creative.
Well, apparently this dessert was the greatest thing ever invented. I asked my kids if it was good and they said "so, so, soooo good!" and "you're the best mom ever!"
Well now I can't wait to visit Claysville again & try the bakery for myself! The only hard part will be choosing...
