McDonald's — Restaurant in Clear Lake

Where do I even begin? This was by far, hands down, the best meal I've ever had the pleasure of indulging within. This was life changing. Let me start out with the fries. Seasoned to perfection and not too hot, but not too cold either. The nuggets were golden, and the meat was all natural, no artificial flavoring or preservatives. The customer service was also very good - Second to none. I was greeted at the door by none other than Young Sheldon himself, and from there I was hit with the aura of the best scents you'll ever smell in your time on god's green planet we call earth. The workers, or should I say angels, took me into their arms and made me feel like one of their own as they immersesed me within the culture of this 5 star restaurant. A culture rooted in love, acceptance, compassion, and care. This was a blessing from God, a spiritual encounter and awakening. This truly changed my life. If you have never had the pleasure of going to a "McDonald's" you should give it as much time out of your day as you possibly can. I hadn't heard of this place before, but I'm ever so grateful that I discovered this place, and I'm even more exhilarated that I made the life changing decision to stop here.

We went through the drive thru around 6:30pm on a Sunday evening. The were a lot of cars in the drive thru, but we've had bad overall experiences with the touch-screen ordering inside (plus it was raining), so we opted to drive through. It was fairly difficult to place our order...at one point the screen said we wanted six 6-piece Chicken McNuggets Happy Meals (we just wanted one), and instead of just changing the number, they deleted it, so we had to repeat all of the options for that meal. Once we ordered, we still had a fair amount of wait time. At the payment window, he did apologize for the wait - he had touched 'cash' on his register when someone wanted to pay with credit card. When we finally got our food, I did a quick check to make sure we got everything we ordered, which it looked like we did. Until I opened my sandwich box and had a hamburger instead of crispy chicken on my smokehouse artisan sandwich. It wasn't worth going back, so I ate it... not as good as the chicken, but all right. I looked at the receipt, and it appears that it did say crispy chicken, so it was an error pulling our food, not on the order input side. Overall not our worst McDonald's experience (not by far!), but certainly not one...

I would have given negative stars if possible. I waited 25 minutes just to get to the pay window. When I asked why it took so long, they said the chip reader went down. Had they informed me there was a problem when I ordered, I would have chosen to go elsewhere, as I had limited time. When I finally got to the food window, they asked what had I ordered, because apparently they didn't have my order. So I waited some more while they put my order in. And, although I just payed at the first window, they told me I owed again. Had it just been me, I would have gotten out of the drive thru lane, and left to eat somewhere else. As it was, my granddaughter needed something to eat before dance, and we no longer had time to go somewhere else. Needless to say, we were late for dance, and I probably spent more wasting gas then what...
