Harvard Deli — Restaurant in Cleveland

Whoever is saying the Harvard Deli is the best corned beef place in Cleveland quit telling that lie. I just went to Harvard Deli and was sent away because I told them I do not want a microwave sandwich my bread tasted like tough paper and my sandwich was mushy because they put my sandwich in the microwave too long. When I went back in to explain they sent me away and told the man to give me back my money. They may have fresh meat but they are giving people sandwiches that are already wrapped up that have been sitting and trying to put them in the microwave they are not giving out fresh food because I know when my food is fresh. They have horrible customer service and they told me that people are not allowed to bring their sandwiches back. And by the way they did not toast the bread the way they should and they put it in the microwave and made the bread tough. If I want to eat dog food I will go to the grocery store I would not suggest Harvard Deli to anyone. It is not a number one corned beef...

We moved to Cleveland recently. I had a craving for a corned beef sandwich at 10pm on a Sunday. I thought yeah that ain’t happening but googled delis open and bam Harvard Deli came up.

So I drive across town and maps takes me to a convenience store, I was thinking I had been okee doked by google but went Inside. There was that a deli counter in the back and a line of folks waiting to order backed up to the back of the store. There was a guy taking orders and making sandwiches one at a time.

I’ve eaten at most of the well known delis in Clevland since I’ve been here and Harvard Deli has one of the best corned beef sandwiches, piled high, thinly shaved corned beef in the city.
