Second visit. Disappointed.

All the way from Houston again and this visit was not the same. Out first visit the owner took our order, cooked, serviced take out orders... Cleaned and had great conversation. This time however, we did not have a good experience. The food was not the same... Grits were like eating rice... Flaky... No flavor and effort really put into the process of cooking them. Not really clear on the process of having to order at the window and then sit in dining but... Then we purchased our drinks at the window with our food and had to ask and get plastic cups from bar... Not our best experience at all... Another couple came in sat at bar and were served drinks... Not clear on why we couldn't get our drinks from the bar for refills as dine in patrons. Maybe next time things will go back to the standard the owner set our first visit. Still will support our B.O.B. NO...

My husband & I wanted to find & support small black owned businesses in Cleveland. I’m so glad we stumbled upon The Original Grill! It’s basically a bar & grill but it seemed there were more people coming in for carry out than anything the majority of the time we were there. I asked a few patrons for recommendations since we aren’t from Cleveland & they told us the wings are a must, as well as the loaded potatoes. We ordered the loaded chicken potato with bacon & the wings tossed in lemon pepper honey sauce. The wings came with hand cut fries like you’d make at home. The sauce on the wings was SUPERB & my dish, the loaded chicken potato was PHENOMENAL! I didn’t even need sour cream or ranch with it. We also ordered a few cookies & brownies they were selling from another small business owner. Everything was great! By the time we were heading out, a crowd had started forming.
