Meat Hooks BBQ — Restaurant in Clever

Small Town Family owned BBQ great food and spotless. Great Selection . They were Judged on the Ribs and Brisket because those are the two hardest items to cook and keep tender and moist. I went in about 30 min before closing on a Friday night , Food was warm and fresh . And when most restaurants are needing cleaned Meat Hooks was kept clean. Even with the steady foot traffic from Togo orders . They are in a strip center in Clever MO. On Hwy 14. And are well worth the drive from the other side...

The people were a 10! Awesome group. Bbq is a preference thing for people. I got ribs and beans. They were really good I just like a dryer less seasoned rib. Some people dry store and others wrap in cambro these ribs are plastic wrapped which keeps them moist and have a heavy season on the outside of that is your style you will love these. The beans were a 5 star for me. Ribs were good just not my style and price point seemed a bit high 30 for a rack of ribs. However I know food prices...

I love the smoked meats Meat Hooks offer. The side dishes are good as well. The burt ends are so good! As a matter of fact, I eat at this restaurant every chance I get because it's amazing smoked meat. Don't forget to order nachos with burnt ends topped off with dip-dip. And... do not put sauce on the meat. Trust me, you will love the flavor of this places ...
