Let me get started with this the food is great that's not at all that was a problem. However, the service is probably some of the worse I've experienced and tonight put the icing on the cake. I've been here 2 weeks in a row. The first time the service was just slow, but tonight not only was the service slow our waitress barely acknowledged we were there. Her name is Brittany. I shouldn't have to flag you down to get a drink refill when you walked past the table countless times. When she took out order she didn't ask me how I would like my burger cooked, she assumed med well, which I never want, ever(found out on my receipt) secondly I asked for lettuce, tomato and onion, guess what never came on my burger. Just pickles. Which I was like whatever I can deal because our waitress already was practically ignoring us so I didn't want to wait any longer to eat, when I got my receipt and found out it cost extra that's when I was upset about it. So I paid for something I didn't even get. My boyfriend ordered the prime rib, want to know what you need with that, silverware. It came out perfectly fine and then he mentioned to me he didn't have silverware well okay fine, the waitress walks by, probably 12 times before i finally flag down another waitress to get it for him. Not once did OUR waitress even stop to ask how we were doing or if our food came out right or even if we needed more drinks. Which is ridiculous . I can understand busy, that's how it was the previous week, but when you walk by numerous times and can't take 2 seconds to say a damn thing that's when I have an issue. Flash forward to when we wanted our check, 20 minutes go by no one still stop by. Then finally our waitress stops by when she see us looking around for someone, mind you I'm pissy at this point I'm sure she could tell in my voice, she brings us our check, we put our money in it then continue to wait another 25 minutes before she even stops by to pick it up after she's passed by us numerous time. After looking around I noticed a few more of her tables also becoming agitated with her service. When she did pick up our check it took her 10 minutes for her to finally bring us back our change. I waitresses plenty of times in my life I know how it gets but this was absolutely unacceptable. I honestly CANNOT say that I will back to tiki anymore. This was such a...
Read moreMy wife and I finally decided to stop here on June 20, 2025 for lunch at around noon on our drive back from a camping trip in Palm Beach County. We'd passed the big signs advertising the (co-located) Roland Martin Fishing Resort many times during previous trips on US-27 and finally had some spare time to check it out. It's less than half a mile north of US-27. We parked out front and there was plenty of parking for vehicles towing trailers (boats or campers/travel trailers). The restaurant (Scotty's Tiki Bar) is located on the back (northeast) side of the resort's office and store, so I'm not sure if it's directly affiliated with the Roland Martin resort, or is now independently owned and operated. We sat at the bar since it was not that busy, and the bar tender greeted us promptly, took our drink order, and gave us food menus. My wife ordered the Homemade Chicken Salad Bowl ($14.50), and I ordered the Bang Up (spicy) Shrimp Bowl (19.68). Each of the salads were quite large (almost enough for two adults to share), the greens were fresh, and the added proteins (Chicken Salad and Shrimp) were also fresh made and very delicious. The prices were about average for the area, but the ambience was pretty nice. My only complaint with the view is that you look northward from the tiki bar towards a large lock (almost like a dam for a lake) and there is a 50-60 tall earthen berm that surrounds the south side of the lake, so you can't actually see Lake Okeechobee while you dine here. There was also a lot of green bottle and house flies that were harassing us while we ate, even though the bar had several large fans blowing to try and keep them at bay. After finishing our lunch, we walked around the corner and toured the Roland Martin Resort Store, which is kind of a cross between a ship's store and fishing/hunting store. It had some very neat works of taxidermy inside and some very good quality fishing apparel (see my photos). Overall, our experience at Scotty's Tiki Bar was very positive, and we'll probably stop here again the next time we are passing through the town of Clewiston if it's during...
Read moreWe arrived and there weren't many people. The waitress came right over for our drink order then she was gone doing other things, waiting on other people and making a million ice teas etc. My friends both were growing impatient because after at least 45 minutes they flagged her down. She quickly took our order. The menu is fish tacos, wraps and salads, burgers, and sandwiches. The variety was great if you go for lunch. After an other half hour our lunch came. My club sandwich didn't have any mayo on it... Just dry roasted bread. Since the waitress wasn't really there to see if we needed anything, I walked over to ask for mayo and got an ice tea. Another 45 minutes later our friends flagged her down for the bill. She cleaned up the table and dropped a bunch of stuff. She didn't pick anything she dropped up... Gave us the bill... My friends handed her the credit card... Payed the bill and we noticed that we had been there 2 1/2 hours. It got busy after we started eating, but I don't understand why she wasn't more attentive. I'm sure we all would have had another drink if she would have checked on us once in a while. The food was ok. I'll be back to try again, but really nothing to write home about. I'm giving you a generous 3 stars, but people visiting you are loving the water being right there and the open atmosphere was good. The waitress needs to be a lot more attentive and not so rushy. Maybe add a battered fish plate? The waitress not being attentive was what ruined the fun. No one goes to a sandwich place and is there for 2 1/2 hours. May or may...
