Chive & Thyme Cafe - Catering — Restaurant in Clinton Township

We hired Amy and the Chive and Thyme team to cater our wedding after attending a friend's wedding that they worked with. They, simply, are the best.

We had very specific asks around service style, food requests, and a constantly changing vision (sorry Amy!) and they made everything seem like the easiest thing in the world.

Leading up to the event they were open with advice, ideas, and came to the venue several times to work with us, our planner, and other vendors to make our vision come to life.

The food and service on the day of were nothing short of perfect. Working with them before the event gave us the confidence to completely let go and enjoy the day, because we knew Amy and her team had our back. All of our guests raved about the passed apps (crab cakes were chefs kiss), the dinner, and the dessert.

If that's not enough, even the other vendors we worked with had endless praise for the C&T team, both in our event and in previous events. To put it in the words of our tent rental team, "they are consummate pros"

I discovered this catering service on Thumbtack and it's about the worst mistake i have ever made. Yesterday (Valentine's Day), I Book them for a private dinner, I paid ahead of time in full. And after communicating back and forth for a week with a lady by the name of Giselle and arrange the food delivery by 6 pm , NO ONE SHOWED UP . My last conversation with her was at 5:45 pm to reconfirm their time of arrival. I called over 12 time and text countless of time after i realize that they were super late for a full hour , all my calls were ignored. 2 hours later, she called back time the most ridicules excuse as to why they did not show up. I would not recommend this catering service to my worst enemy after the embarrassment i had to endure due to the lack of professionalism and lack of regards they have for commitment. HORRIBLE BUSINESS MANNERS and TERRIBLE WAY TO TREAT...

The staff at Chive and Thyme greatly exceeded our expectations. We used the Chive and Thyme mobile kitchen for our socially distant backyard wedding and were over the moon with the quality of the food and service. All of our guests could not stop raving about the catering. Amy and her team handled all of the serving which eliminated some of the concerns we had regarding multiple people touching serving spoons/tongs. When it came time for the entrees each guest went to the mobile kitchen and were given the choice any of the options available. We had the Venice chicken and beef tenderloin which were both incredible. Also for appetizers the hit of the party were the mini grilled cheeses! I would absolutely recommend Chive and Thyme Cafe Catering and look forward to using their services again...
