I just had the worst restaurant experience in my life at LaMia restaurant today. We were there for over 1.5 hours and never got all the food our table ordered. We waited awhile for the waitress to even come and take our order and she never came back to the table to check on us. We had to ask for our drinks after sitting there for over a half hour. Our salads never came so again we asked for our salads. One salad got brought out so after another 10 minutes I went to the register and asked for the rest of our salads. Not only did they not arrive we had to stop the waitress and asked again for our salad. She came out with them and as she was setting them on the table others came out with our food. We told them we wanted fresh hot food once we were given time to eat our salads. They then came back with some of our food but never came back with the rest of the food. The food that they did bring to the table was harden and crusty. When they finally came with the rest of the food it was wrong. No one could eat the bad food and we had to throw a fit to get the incorrect food made fresh. To top off this experience only one person got hot fresh food and the owner insisted we pay over half the bill for food no one could eat. We have been going to this restaurant for about 20 years and was told by the owner we were wrong and to not return to his restaurant. This was truly the most disappointing experience I have ever had at...

They put mayo on them insted of garlic paste. Called back to complain and said that they put garlic mayo on one of the shwarmas and garlic paste on the other not mayo. And i tried to tell them that they put mayo on both of the shwarmas and they had to argue with me about it. And i told them in the past iv'e ordered carryout from them many times and they put garlic paste on them not mayo. And they contuined to argue with me over it that they've always put garlic mayo on them. And then they said you can come back for your chicken shwarmas with garlic paste on them and a next free carryout and a gift certificate. After that they left me on hold forever and i finally hung up. And then i drove back to pick up my chicken shwarmas and my gift certificate. And they gave me a attitude and said that we are not giving you your gift certificate and we are not serving you anymore. Im so fed up with this place they always forget one or a couple of the things iv'e ordered from them along with rude service in the past. Im not going back there EVER again. I am going to order from a new lebanese restaurant...

This food was really good.
The chicken kabob sandwich was prepared with lettuce, onion and tomato with tziziki [(spelling idk) (cucumber cream)] sauce which is different than the garlic sauce with which it is usually prepared, but was delicious nonetheless! Honestly it was a refreshing change from the usual garlic sauce. The sandwich was served with a lawash pita so big that it could've given me a hug so it was well worth the money that I spent on the sandwich as it had a large portion. I also got a side of tabooli (spelling idk) which came with plenty of bread to eat all of the side.
This was really, really good food and I can see why the people that have review previously say it is Authentic Lebanese cuisine and one of the best in Metro Detroit. This is not an exaggerated statement lol. This food is well prepared, fresh, served with real meat and ingredients that have great color that look and taste fresh.
I shall return to this place and try another dish, perhaps one of their...
