Hey, Rodney Majors, your 1-star rating is way off base. Apparently, you don’t know quality food when you taste it! Mingi, the owner, is a most accommodating woman. She was very helpful with my dietary restrictions and wanted to ensure I was happy with the food. I think the food is amazing! The smell in the car on my ride home drove me crazy 🙀. The cultural flavors are spot-on and oh sooooo delicious. The menu prices are very reasonable as well, which is a nice change these days. They also don’t charge a transaction fee for using a debit card; unlike other restaurants who’ve taken advantage of the situation these days. If you’re looking for “food in a hurry,” go to Burger King or McDonald’s. The food took the necessary time it did to get it just right. It was well worth the wait. The place is new to the area and seems to have found their rhythm already. I’m happy that we’ve finally got a restaurant in the area that’s not your typical food; we definitely need a mix up of some cultural diversity. Thank you, Mingi and family, for offering us your awesome Pakistani cuisine. My son and I wish you and your restaurant the best. I’ll most definitely be back for more. 😋 😋😋😋😋
UPDATE: The one and only criticism I have is not about the restaurant itself, but the parking lot. It would behoove the property owners to REPAVE THE PARKING LOT! I thought my car was going to be consumed by the many craters in the lot. In addition, if someone walking in the lot gets hurt or someone’s vehicle gets damaged, chances are the monetary cost of paving will be less expensive on the owner’s part than paying for any type of damages. Read moreExcellent home cooked Pakistani and North Indian food. Try Butter chicken, chicken tikka, lamb chops, chicken Korma curry. They have a tandoor so Naan breads and chicken tikkas are great tasting authentic and all food is fresh. Vegetarian entrees are also very good. Biryani’s (rice with chicken or goat) are very good. Goat curry’s also very good.
Order ahead by phone as some entrees need time to prep to be authentic and tasteful. We ordered ahead and it was ready waiting for us when we arrived. It’s a better take-out place but have some seating if you prefer to eat in.
My food was balanced and mild on the spice so I will mention the spice level next time as we like Pakistani food to be spiced with ginger/garlic and spice. Mention spice level if you like it spicy or else it’s perfectly balanced and mild.
I’m glad this Pakistani/south Asian place opened up close to us on RT 31. Owners are very friendly and welcoming. The lady on the front desk is very sweet and chef owner very friendly.
Portions are thankfully good size good enough for two people for us three of us was good. And prices are very reasonable thankfully in today’s market something is reasonable and good quality...
Read moreI have so much to say about Village Dhaba words can't explain but I will try my best to share my experience in this review. My taste buds keep pulling me back to their restaurant to eat more, lol. The owners are very pleasant, kind, honest people I have met in a very long time. They have many delicious vegetarian food options. Have to request in advance. Please be patient with the timing because all food is prepared fresh, not like the other restaurants. This is a pakistani food restaurants not indian. The food tastes the proper way they are supposed to. Other restaurants you will only to lose your taste buds because of the over spicy food. But pakistani food is different and cooked with love and care where you will taste everything the proper proportions and remember to tell the tale.
I personally highly recommend Village Dabah restaurants to everyone, and they are very honest and genuine people. there food servings will open your eyes 👀. Let me know what you think when...
