Wildflower Cafe — Restaurant in Clinton Township

10-7-34 Update. We went with friends out for dinner this time. Waitress told us the head chef duo was down to a single, and he had been working the entire day for several days. Well you never would have known he was alone. Our food was just awesome. My son thought his chicken Parm was a little salty, but he still ate quite a lot of it. My wife and I had stuffed cabbage and wow. It was wayyy better than our lunch cap Polish restaurant. Mashed potatoes were real, and gravy on both was home made with a nice basil undertone. The French onion soup that came as a choice with the dinner was pretty darn tasty too. Best of all was that the two pepper dinner left enough food for lunch which we will eat either tomorrow or Monday. Wow what a great dinner.

4-15-23 Update. Really enjoyed the food today. Trying to be a bit healthier (too many reviews I suppose) two of us opted for lighter food or smaller portions. That didn't change how good the food tasted. Pur third party had a really great looking Reuben sandwich that was loaded with meat. Too big to fit in a mouth it was dissected to a smaller size leaving very tasty corned beef to eat on the side. Coffee cups were never empty and everyone there seemd happy. Workers and guests alike. It's been a refreshing few days around our town. Helps us forget for a few minutes all of the bad things happening in the world.

1-26-23 Update. I had the fruit explosion pancakes today. Wow are they a treat. Fresh fruit (bananas, strawberries and blueberries ) with cream cheese between the layers and whipped cream chocolate drizzle on top. Just a really good treat. It's a little rich, so that's why I got the sausage patties. No skimping on the portion size either and coffee cups stay filled.

2022 It's busy which usually means good food, and our food was very good. My three stars stems from an extremely unfriendly server. We have seen and been waited on by this same server before and nothing has changed. She just has a very unfriendly manner and character. There are others there that do not act that way, but we rarely get them. I place a lot of emphasis on good customer service. That can raise a score or in this case lower a score. On the other side, they make good coffee and your cup is never empty. Also once again, the food was good. No pictures...

I will never come back here again, the service was horrible! It was just myself and my toddler and she never came to check on us, I normally can never eat my eggs without hott sauce but I had to because she never came back and as she was leaving the check she asked do we need anything else then walked away, because someone else needed something, she didn't even let me answer which I actually needed a to go box, thankfully there was someone there very helpful who gave me a box and even put the food in the box for me as she seen I had my hands full with my 2 year old. She was very nice and just kept saying how beautiful my little girl was. This place has so many waitress I don't understand why the service was so bad, and as I was paying I said I only wanted to leave 10% my bill was 13$ and they ended up tipping them 3$ which is more then 10% I didn't even want to tip her because she didn't do anything besides bring me my food. They also don't have a good kids size breakfast, my daughter only likes pancakes which they didn't have a kids pancakes so the lady talked me into getting this breakfast that had eggs, toast, pancakes and sausage she said it would be cheaper then just getting pancakes and sausage. So the eggs just went to waste. We went one other time before this and the service was not that great either but it was really busy so figured I'd give it another try.. Every month we eat at Wildflower Cafe about 20 times. This is since we moved to the area about 8 years ago. It is our chosen restaurant. I read the negative reviews and think, "WOW! They must be on drugs or have this restaurant mixed up for another. The food is great. The service is great. Have we ever had bad or slow service. Yes, but only when they are super, super busy and , maybe once every two months. My husband and I love this restaurant. The staff, waitresses, hostesses, are so very nice. Have I ever got food I did not like. Yes. But I remind myself, "I selected it" and as I look around other people are eating it and seem happy. I ordered a chicken dinner smothered in teriyaki sauce. I now know I do not like this sauce and will not order this again. Not the fault of the kitchen; my fault. Oh, my first love in any restaurant is SOUP. They have awesome soups. A different two soups every day. If you don't like the soup being offered, you can get a salad or cole slaw instead. I ONLY HAVE ONE REQUEST OF THE RESTAURANT. PLEASE LIST THE TWO SOUPS EVERY DAY ON YOUR INTERNET PAGE. I call every day and feel so awkward calling every day. But if we were busy on any specific day, I would change my timing of the day to make sure I got to the restaurant to eat this soup. And, probably take home a quart of this...
