When first walking into the restaurant I noticed that the interior was almost a mirror image of the similar restaurant Waffle House. The only difference was that their main color was Red unlike the Gold that Waffle House uses. After hearing above average reviews from multiple people close to me I decided to stay, but lowered my expectations so I wouldn't be let down if I got only a "decent" breakfast instead of the "unbelievable" breakfast I was told about by so many. I was only somewhat hungry, but figured I should order a variety and see what the hype was about. I started with my usual coffee to drink, and then ordered regular waffles, 2 eggs overeasy, some bacon, and full order of biscuits and gravy. Less than a minute later, the very friendly waitress that took our order had returned with the coffee my guest and I had ordered, and then she asked us each 1 question that quickly separated them from Waffle House, she actually asked from the start of we would like to to watch and automatically refill our coffee mugs when they were down to a certain level OR if we would prefer to let her know when/if we wanted more so that she would not interrupting our quiet breakfast. We both agreed that it was alright for her to keep an eye and refill automatically, but never being given that option before, we expressed great appreciation for asking instead of assuming our preferences. I have witnessed many people who were having bad days before and wanted to be left alone and had become very irritable after the server walks up to the table many times in a short period constantly checking which led to their poor tips from that customer. At this point I cracked a little smile and thought to myself, if she keeps up this wonderful customer service then she will be smiling for a long time when she sees her tip. I tasted the coffee and was pleased to taste that it was freshly made. These 2 things had quickly had me stop assuming poor quality all around and started to become anxious about wanting to see if the food could be as great as the coffee and staff. It seemed just a minute later she came back with our food orders, and before I could ask she was placing a few extra napkins on each side of our table. She made me smile again with that action because most places they will place them down in a hurry in the middle of the table. I instantly knew that this place was all about customer satisfaction. The biscuits were delicious. Nice and fluffy, but not undercooked. And the gravy... Is now on my top 3 list of favorite places. I never thought anywhere could compete with those, and now this just beat them. The bacon was crispy, but not burnt, and the eggs cooked to perfection. Now was the waffle. It was a very light golden brown, making me thing the inside was going to be pretty doughy, and again I was wrong. At this point, my guest mentioned that I was smiling alot in more than usual this day. Without saying much I just nodded my head And shrugged. Upon completion, the server returned and asked how we enjoyed our meal and asked if we had any tips or suggestions for them to better future customer service. At this point I was smiling from ear to ear and shook my head no and mentioned to her that she did an amazing job and went above and beyond what we expected. She then handed us the bill stating that we owed only $21 for the combined total. My guest chuckled and had to ask if she charged us for everything and stated we were expecting it to be that price for each individual and she smiled while saying she gets that alot. Looking at the receipt, it was all in there.we were so satisfied with this place that we decided to make sure the waitress understood that we appreciated everything from her and after paying the bill we each handed the lady a $25 tip, for a combined total tip of $50. As we walked out, we waved and let her know we would be returning next Sunday for more. And that smile remained for the...
Read moreSooo if yall ever swing through this town Clinton, AR, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND Tonya who works at that Huddle House!!
She’s been working there for a long time is like SUPER AMAZING!! Literally the BEST Waitress we’ve had in YEARS! *no matter how fancy of a place or not that we’ve eaten at. She very personable, and answered any questions we had. She took our order and then started to walk away but then turned around and said “hey! Yall could order this plate of food and literally pay several dollars less than what you e currently ordered” We were like, sure! She also asked William and i if we wanted anything else to drink besides water, and i said no water is just fine, we’ve been outside. And William asked if coffee came with the order and she said no but don’t worry about it, she’ll get him a cup of coffee. Wait, like what?? Really?? Dannnng!! And instead of just filling up our waters and putting them in the To Go cups, she said for everyone she’ll put them in the big to go cups! Like wow! Dannng lady. She was very sweet, personable, very quick, checked on us many times but not in a rude interrupting way. The food: Holy cow!!!🤤🤤🤤 Like the prices are comparable to fast food. The quality surpasses fast food. The kind of food was like Waffle House but with burgers and breakfast all day (basically), and instead of yelling out the orders etc they had waitresses doing their thing.
No wonder on google maps this place was highly recommended and had high stars!! Should we ever head back to this state (and town) we are definitely stopping here again!
Ps, right when we were paying and leaving, i asked the lady at the register if the machine will prompt for tips (because we literally didn’t have cash and water to tip Tonya). She said yes ma’m. I remember many years ago when i worked at sonic briefly, that all of our tips went into a jar to be distributed evenly between everyone… So i asked that lady if Tonya will only receive the tips or if it’ll all go into a jar basically. She said yes ma’m, Tonya will be the only one to receive the tip. Like wow!
Then right when we were going out the door the store manager lady walked in and the lady that was helping me check out quickly talked to her and then asked me to tell the manager what i just told her about the waitress “she’s a rare gem”. Truly amazing!
Ps there was an understandably tiny wait. Right when we walked in we were greeted and a waitress said there will be a booth ready in a short moment. They were hopping! And it was...
Read moreWent there Aug 2nd on our vacation this week...First got there, didn't know if you sat yourself or not.Sat ourselves, took about 10 mins to get a server to even get our drink orders,no food orders at all, just drinks.Water was dripping above us,but no one to tell...Waitress finally came up,took our orders and the water dripped on my husband's arm.Yet,no one ever checked on us.Waitress came up and asked her,can we move tables? She looked annoyed for me even asking that. That water dripped on my husband's arm,she asked another associate, which that was her table, can they move tables?and she didn't answer, ignoring her,and the other waitress at that time responded,I'm busy right now,but couldn't answer her?.so we said nevermind, because she had our food in her hand already...Had to make sure the water didn't hit my husband's or my son's food, since it was a inconvenience to move us, because she said that would be the other gals table and not hers.Went to pay, because the waitress never came back to check on us,and the woman said, card or cash?.I replied card, she said,go to the other side. After I did,she said she was confused of our ticket, she seen our waitress and told her you do this, and made her ring us up,she put in a different number for our table. We were ready to go on with our day, this was very unnecessary,we pay good money regardless for our meal and at that time we still tipped very well for our stay, even though she had attitude asking us for anything and the end of our...
