Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Clinton

Unfortunately, my experience at the 2nd st location was horrible today. I placed an online delivery order but wanted to make an adjustment to add sauce for my wings. I tried calling the store but no answer or way to leave a message. I tried calling back to back for about an hour before driving to the store myself. The call center employee was HORRIBLE! She refused to escalate my call when I asked for further assistance. She just said no and transferred me to a different location. Upon arrival to the store, the staff was seemingly busy so I wanted to ensure they were aware that calls were not being answered. I was told that their district manager shut off their phones without letting them know! After returning home, I opened my order to find that I was given 10 out of the 12 traditional wings, pizza was soggy with so much cheese (I didn't want or request) and the crust at the top of the pizza was so hard like it was old and warmed back up. Although a $4 future credit was given, it was not worth the headache of going back and forth with the staff and causing further frustration...

Went here today hoping to take advantage of the 2 for 12 pizza buffet for lunch. Got there early and waited for it to start.

In the 30 or so minutes I was there, they brought out a total of 3 pizzas for a half full restaurant, and one tray of breadsticks.

My family and I DID manage to scrounge up 3 pieces of pizza and 6 of those little half breadsticks they cut up for the buffet to share somehow. When I went up to the buffet again to find it totally EMPTY, then we just gave up and left. And they were SURE to charge me full price upon my departure, IN FULL VIEW OF THE BARREN BUFFET! My family of 4 all left hungry.

I understand it was sort of busy I guess so I won't bother you by ever returning here. Pizza Ranch and Happy Joes (in town) are always at least that busy, and I have NEVER seen either run out of pizza, or food in general.

Probably the singular most unsatisfying restaurant experience I have ever had.

But, to be fair, the one half breadstick and one piece of pizza I managed to get was...

I love Pizza Hut pizza. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and a black olive pizza with extra olives. The pizzas were done to my liking and hot. The person who took my order was very kind and professional. She repeated my order back to me and then asked if I wanted anything else. I ordered just the pizzas. The person who delivered my pizza was right on time. I didn't have to wait. That's something really important to many people, including myself. We had a short conversation about the upcoming weather situation and he was very professional and polite. He thanked me and told me to be safe and have a nice day. The pizza was really good. The price was a little higher than some places, but quality means everything. Some things in life just can not be substituted. Great job to the Pizza Hut team!! I should have taken photos. I'll have to...
