Slop's Neighborhood Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Clinton

We have a group, 5-8 of us who go for Taco Tuesday every week. Our server these days is Summer. When each member of our group arrives, she makes sure they get a drink, but then she ignores us for over an hour, until one of our group goes to the bar and tells her we want to order. She also let's our beer glasses get empty and sit there until we flag her down or finally get our food and can ask for another. With past servers. Some of us would have 3-5 beers before we pay and leave. With Summer, we barely get two beers because she does not come back and ask. Our group is now looking for another place to go. We have been coming to Slops for several years now and have never had such poor service. Owner/ Manager she is seriously losing you money. If she is doing it to us, she is serving...

I literally just walked out of this place because they kept coming to our table asking if we needed anything before we left. We were gonna stay and have another drink but when they keep saying things like that, we knew we weren't welcome, I assume because they only want their locals there. I thought maybe they were closing so I didn't say anything. Then when I get to the car and see they are open till 2am, sucked they had to be like that. Sad thing is, I am home visiting and was very much a local. Food was bland, our waiter was very kind at first but I saw the 2 of them laughing after biatch went back behind the bar. Anyway...won't be back, even with my very well known sister who I will be...

Lunch today came from Slop’s in Clinton, IA, and this bar and grill is pretty wide open. We ordered fried pickles for our normal appetizer. The pickles were good from my taste. We ordered a cheeseburger and fries, and I had to try the highly recommended peanut butter burger. As She bit into the burger, “it’s really good,” she said. “This is awesome,” as she kept eating. I took the first few bites of my burger and it was really good. Slops definitely doesn’t lie when they say they put a “dollop of peanut butter” on the burger. This burger did not disappoint, and tasted great....
