I have no idea how I had never found this place before today; I have been missing out! The restaurant has an excellent ambience. It was a warm, cozy, quiet place to eat an early Sunday dinner. The service was outstanding, the waiter very friendly and attentive. I ordered the spicy duck, which came out in a huge bowl with an impressive variety of accoutrements. The food was bursting with flavor. I also had a scallion pancake, which hit the spot. The menu has many things that are unique to this restaurant and is in no way limited to a typical Chinese food menu. I'm excited to make my way through many of the things they offer that other places do not.

This is the “vegetable chow mein” that they offer, and when I asked where the “stir fried noodles were” because that’s the definition of “chow mein” they told me they don’t exactly know what chow mein means but theirs is just cabbage strips in a soup.. more similar to Lo Mein. Regardless, a lot of their food is like this, untraditional Chinese and badly described in the menu. I haven’t tried all their dishes but so far, they’re all unexpected, highly priced, and can’t even make chicken fingers / sweet and sour chicken taste well breaded, it’s super dry. The other two Chinese places in Clinton are better than this for food.

Interior was good and clean. Service was... Slow and bad. Ordered a few things on the menu such as Chicken with cucumber. When we got our dish, they put celery in it instead of cucumber! They didn't even notify us that they didn't have cucumber in stock and decided to make that order anyways! We ask why they still made it for us, and their response was nothing, not even an apology. The food was also extra salty. Only thing I enjoyed there was the beef and tripe dish. Give this place a try, if you want to try something new. But I won't be going back here.

This is the place for real Chinese food! My family came here, (including my Chinese in-laws) and it was the best Szechuan cuisine we've had in CT!

Once I got a taste of the twice cooked pork, shredded beef, and eggplant in garlic sauce, I ate like I'd been starved for a week! The food is simply exquisite, don't be afraid to try something you haven't had before.

I see some bad reviews saying "they don't make such and such like this other restaurant I go to". My advice is either stick with your average Chinese place, or come here and try some of the chef's actual specialties! If you get some of their authentic dishes you won't be disappointed, and you might never go back to the Americanized stuff. If you're still not ready for the exotic offerings, at least get the Chow Fun or Chow Mei Fun noodles. That being said I'm sure all of their food is great, I'd eat anything from here!

My in-laws couldn't have been happier with the food. The chef brought out our meal and they could tell from his accent: this guy is the real deal from Chengdu. The staff were also friendly and accommodating, even with my 2.5 year old son. We'll definitely be back next time we camp at Hammonasset, and...

We were sat at a table with no plates or silverware. Took 15 minutes for anybody to come to the table. After ordering our food and drinks, half of our food came out, yet we had no silverware or drinks, but our waiter did not return. 10 minutes later we had asked for silverware and the rest of the food, never got our other wonton soup. My cocktail contained banana liquor in it which it did not say on the menu and I am allergic to bananas. So when I went to the bar to have them remake my beverage, the manager came over and basically accused me of lying saying they hadn’t made any drinks containing banana liquor all day, though half of their cocktail menu consists of drinks as such. That isn’t how you handle guest issues. You don’t accuse, you resolve. Needless to say I’ll stray away from ever coming back here again, as I will relay the...

HORRIBLE worst chinese food i have ever tried. My Mongolian Beef was so BURNT and tasted like urnt sugar... when the server asked how everything was i told him ITS burnt and his reply was YES it is and smiled, I said BURNT!!! and he said OH you want us to make it again. This time it came out with RAW onions and the beef was fried in something that tasted like OLD FRYER OIL, it was black and still had the oil running out, DID not eat it or pay for it. Other order was the nappa cabbage beef came out in a BOWL of OIL, could not see anything but red oil. Tried to eat it but couldn't. OWNER is a white guy who took a quick look at the food and said "I don't care just leave". So we left and will...
