The service was prompt and friendly, food delicious and generous, good drinks from the bar, laid back atmosphere. Warm white bread and choice of salad came with our dinners, plus maybe two pounds of free penne with red sauce in a bowl before our meals were served! We ordered the baked artichoke hearts appetizer which was served with buttered bread crumbs and a red sauce, and some calamari which was the only so-so item in our meal. We each had the gorgonzola salad that came with balsamic on the side. Really pleasing to the palate for gorgonzola fans. Our entrees were one order of two lobster tails with a crab stuffing that came with a baked potato, and one order from the specials menu of sacchettini pasta stuffed with lobster and scallops, shrimp and mushrooms in Alfredo sauce. Both were excellent. Unlike a lot of pastas that are described as lobster stuffed, the sacchettini actually is as you can see in the photo I supplied in this post. Cutting one in half, there is orange meat, not a mystery white mash often found. If you can only order one carefree special treat meal a year, the sacchettini is the one to get. Absolutely decadent and divine. This dish could feed two, as well. The servings are large so you will see most patrons leaving with plastic wrapped Styrofoam take home boxes. There are meat dishes, too, like steak, rack of lamb and beef short ribs. Definitely worth the trip.

⚠️IMPORTANT⚠️ (07/11/2025) Just a horrible experience all around. From when we got seated till we left. We found a bug in the salad. We informed our waiter, and she went to go tell the manager. She took 30 minutes to come over, which is completely unacceptable since this is a serious issue. I unfortunately did not get her name, but she was so rude and unprofessional. Then, she began to inform us that it’s summertime and that you have to expect these things in a restaurant. She then said that she started working in the restaurant industry since she was 16 years old, which is not relevant to this issue. She told us that they have a very clean kitchen, and it doesn’t matter; this should not have happened. She then said she would talk to the owner to see if they would take a meal off, but never came back, and we had to keep asking for her. Our waitress then came over and said they could only take $10.00 off. Why couldn’t the worker we talked to come over and tell us? Completely disrespectful. They were definitely not sympathetic, which really made us upset. In addition, we discovered that the plates were extremely dirty and had a piece of hair on one of them. We are definitely not returning to this restaurant. Don’t worry, I also will be making a call to the local health department.

So, the best part of the meal was the home made salad dressing. If you're hungry... they definitely load up the food. We got the Clams Casino as an appetizer. COMPLETELY not worth the price. Taste wise... little above average. The scallops that come with it... over cooked Main meal we got the seafood combo.. over cooked. The scallops again... they're so small, very easy to overcook them. The fish is so thin that it was overcooked and dry. The thing you're paying for is the amount of food they're giving you. It's just below average to average in taste. From when we were there, it looks like most of the clients are of the older generation....so explains how they can overcook the food and get away with it. We took home two huge containers of food. I'll grab some ground chicken and turn the pasta into meals for the week. Waitress was awesome... very friendly and offered to fix things but we didn't want to wait.

After hearing about The Log Cabin, we decided to give it a try. What a disappointment!! Starting with the hostess who was beyond rude, the wait wasn’t too bad and you are able to wait in your car with your old school “pager” like device if it is chilly out…but there are some benches outside if you choose to sit outside. The atmosphere itself is so strange for its shoreline location. It feels as though you are in New Hampshire or up North somewhere. That’s beside the point, it is called The Log Cabin after all. NOW to the food. I don’t know who is writing all these reviews, but clearly there are people who care more about quantity over quality and I’m NOT one of them. I’d much rather get less, good quality food than what they are serving at The Log Cabin. First off, the pasta that they put on the table is swimming in sauce and so over cooked it’s horrendous. The sauce is watery and tasteless. Not made with love or any ingredients of quality, that is evident. The salad was fine and probably the only part of the meal that was edible. Ordered Boneless Buffalo Tenders and mozzarella Sticks for appetizers. DISGUSTING!!! One worse than the other! Not even getting into that. Our dinners were the absolute worst. None of the portions that anyone in our party of four ordered were large. Thank goodness though, because I hate wasting food and that’s exactly what we did. Salmon was tiny, served with frozen spinach…..who serves frozen spinach these days?!?! Prime Rib was more like Pot Roast. The quality of the meat was below par. The Baked Potato comes with those little pats of butter wrapped in foil and an individual plastic, pull top of sour cream…..it’s almost like Diner. Literally have not seen butter like that in ions. Our waitress was fine. Again, I can only compare the entire place to a Diner, but a Diner with low quality food because even that is an insult to some Diners. I honestly don’t know who is enjoying the food here…..maybe what we ordered was not what their specialties are, but this was by far the worst meal I’ve had in a long time ! If you want a good quality meal, and are not just about the quantity, this is NOT the place to go!!! Nothing of quality served here. Would NOT...

We were a party of 6, with an 18 month old on a Saturday night. We knew going in that they don't take reservations, and a good friend shared with us that it would be very busy. None of us had been here before, so of course we didn't really know what to expect. As we drove into the parking lot at about 6pm, the lot was packed. I stepped out quickly, to get inside to ask for a table. The entire dining room was jammed full! A staff member told me that it would be at least 30-45 minutes, possibly slightly sooner. That wasn't great news, but we were here so we decided to wait. It was chilly outside, so we kept moving on the porch. There's absolutely no room to wait inside. Our Granddaughter was kept entertained by watching all the cars and people, and with some snacks.

We were able to sneak views inside through the large windows, and the meals that were being delivered to the customers inside were outrageously overflowing with food! Our stomachs ached even more, seeing those dinners. We continued to check on the status of an available table, in the hope that one of the large table guests would take pity on us. A table finally came open after 65 minutes. We sat down as quickly as possibly, dove into the menu! My wife has Celiac disease, and she called a few days prior to ask if they offered GF pasta. They didn't, but were happy to cook hers in the kitchen if she brought in an unopened package. Boom! She ordered the Chicken Jennifer and I ordered the Chicken Parm. Scrumptious! Both dishes were amazingly delicious and ultra filling. We jad to ask for take-home containers, as did the other two couples with us. The staff was friendly, attentive and as prompt as they could be, considering the entire dining room was still jammed full of customers. We're definitely going back, but we need to work...
