Phoenix Asian Restaurant — Restaurant in Clive

So I decided to order thru Door dash ….little did I know they do their own deliveries (Phoenix Asian Restaurant) I did not find that out til I called the restaurant. After I payed thru DoorDash , it came up that my food was to be delivered between 8:14 and 8:29 pm but Phoenix Asian restaurant does their OWN deliveries. At 8:35 I called Phoenix Asian Restaurant. I asked where my food was. I was told that they had 3 more orders in my area along with mine. It was going to be longer than what was said on the DoorDash app. I did not think it was good customer service that I payed on the DoorDash app and was promised a certain time , to find out they do their own deliveries. They did not go by Doordashes time schedule as said on my confirmation text. Now I was gonna have to wait longer ….Remember I paid all the DoorDash fees , delivery fees and service fees , plus tip. I had no idea it was going to take considerably longer for the delivery. The woman on the phone was not the friendliest … She asked me if I wanted to cancel my order. I said no. I had teenage kids that were starving and now it would be too late to go somewhere else. So she then asked if I would like to talk to the owner. I said yes I would. He got on the phone and was immediately rude to me. It escalated pretty fast. He asked if we would just like to cancel our order and I said NO. We were now starving and everything is now almost closed! I was trying to tell him to take off some of the delivery fees and I would call it good. He kept talking to me in a very rude tone and I was trying to stay calm. I could not believe he was treating a customer the way he was treating me. I was never able to get out what I would like him to do. Then he just hung up on me ! THE OWNER OF HIS OWN RESTAURANT! I called back and I asked him why would he hang up on a customer and treat a customer so rudely. He said it was because “ he was busy “ …. He then started yelling into the phone “what do you want” ? “What do you want “? Over and over again. Before I could really say anything else he hung up on me AGAIN ! I tried to call back AGAIN , this time I just wanted to cancel my order. I could not believe how I was treated. I called back 3 or 4 more times to cancel my order , but no one answered. Twenty five mins later our food was delivered to our door. I was already out at Panda Express getting food. My husband called me while I was out getting food. I’m calling my bank in the morning. I’m going to dispute the charge. I have never been treated and talked to so badly buy a business in my life....

We went to visit on Easter Sunday, and while every place was closed this place was open and, it was not entirely our first choice, I've never really been there and it was close enough to where we were but after I ate there, I will definitely make an attempt to return, I say this a lot in my reviews but because it's an important detail: friendly, and caring staff.

The person who took our order was very lovely, she was making sure everything was good for us, if there was anything we needed, and making sure we had a pleasant time, so props to her.

The food was excellent, fresh, very, very hot, and amazing and cooked without any damaging or burning to the food, I recommend the Mushu Combination (Chicken, Pork, Scallops, Mushrooms, Shrimp and 4 pancakes/tortillas) for 14.75, a great deal for what you're getting, we got a mountain pile on our plate and it was fantastic, you may need a to go container if you're like me, it's worth bringing home and eating, but the atmosphere is also quite nice to just enjoy sitting down and eating.

The pot stickers and egg rolls and crab rangoon were good, too.

I can not say enough praises to this establishment, I loved my food and can't wait to eat there again.

Order Mongolian Beef and orange chicken delivery, entrees were in plastic like containers to heat and go microwave containers and rice was cold and hard like it was heated up and chicken and beef were sloppy cold called and told phoenix Asian my food was cold and not good they refused to refund my product and denied my refund of my order after telling them wanted refund for my order food was cold and sloppy not good , they said no , I think they just heated it up in containers and served it out for a delivery in the containers. The lady at the resturant on the phone refused to help me with complaint about cold not fresh food , will not eat here again 40 buks later waste of money for cold not fresh Chinese!! To many other places to choose from this was down right gross 😝 !!! Very big disappointment on the resturants food and service part ! I do not recommend this Chinese restaurant, at all choose a different one and not this one definitely is bad service and sloppy cold food , to many other Chinese restaurants you can order from!! don't buy food here not recommended!! you will sorry and not be satisfied with service and cold food look...
