My recent experience at Me N Ed's left a lot to be desired, especially since it was my boyfriend's first time trying the pizza after moving here. The pizza itself was fantastic, but the service and atmosphere created a negative impression. When our pizza was brought out, the young female server dropped it off without a word or a smile. This lack of courtesy set the tone, and things only got worse from there. The restaurant was hosting a youth sports team party, and while I get that it's a kids' gathering and there's going to be some noise with kids having a good time, the noise level was completely out of control. Kids were running around and screaming at the top of their lungs as if it were a playground, making it difficult to enjoy our meal, and the parents did nothing to remedy the issue.
I decided to speak with the staff, and while two employees at the register seemed understanding, the same server who had been rude initially looked visibly irritated as she went to get the manager. The manager--a younger guy with longish hair and a mustache--came over with an attitude that made me feel like my concerns weren't valid. He seemed more focused on quieting me than on being genuinely helpful or empathetic. He eventually spoke to the adults in the group, but it was obvious it was just to appease me, not because he cared about improving the environment for everyone.
As paying customers, our experience should matter too. When kids are running around the restaurant screaming, it's the manager's responsibility to ensure that all guests can enjoy their visit. It's disappointing that my boyfriend's first experience with Me N Ed's--a place I'd been excited to share with him--was overshadowed by rude service and an indifferent attitude from management. I hope the staff can work on creating a more welcoming environment that respects all guests, not just...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYesterday was Halloween and I understand restaurants tend to be busier than usual, with parties and everything going on. My family and I decided to order from this location last night for a second time, we wanted to let them redeem themselves for our order last time since it was cold. After picking up our order and brining it home I realized the garden salad I had ordered was not made properly. The last time I ordered a garden salad from this location it was great. This time it was literally nothing more than a handful of tomatoes, bell peppers, black olives, and mushrooms, with 1 small piece of spinach. No lettuce on the plate at all. So I decided to give the location a call and ask about having my salad remade if I brought it in. The person who answered the phone had transferred me to what I believe was a manager. I told her my issue and she stated she was the one who made the salads and that she knows there's lettuce on there, after telling her I would like it remade and would be brining it back to exchange it she hung up on me ! Upon my arrival she was rude as well and still insisted there was lettuce on there when there was not. Which was upsetting.
Now I would not have had an issue if she would have taken a different route of handling my problem. For example, I would have been less upset if she would have approached my issue apologetically and professionally. I would have much rather heard " I am sorry for the mistake, let me fix the issue" instead of "well I made salads today and there is lettuce on there you just have to move the veggies"
Tid bit of advice for anyone working in customer service. H- Hear the customer E- Empathize with the customer A- Apologize R- Resolve the customers issue T- Thank...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI enjoy Me N Eds pizza, but I had a pretty negative experience today. I ordered a small pizza right after my grandparents placed an order (we jad sequential order numbers). After waiting about 15 minutes, they got their food. After waiting another 15-20 minutes, I finally got up to ask if my order had been lost. When I got up to the front, the girl who had taken my order hurried over to the counter and pulled out my pizza. She brought the pizza to my table with a casual apology and hurried off to do some other task. Meanwhile my grandparents had already finished their food, and my pizza was not super hot and fresh from the oven as it should have been. It completely soured my dinner experience. I get it that sometimes restaurants lose track of orders (even though it's annoying), but the lack of care for me, who waited a ridiculous amount of time for my food, was really upsetting.
UDPATE: Went back to this same Me N Eds last week (a few weeks after the above experience), willing to give it another shot. My grandparents ordered 2 pizzas, and the second showed up 5-10 minutes after the first (and we had already waited 20 minutes for the first), but get this: it had a piece missing from it. The workers had squished the pieces together hoping that no one noticed, but there was an odd number of pieces and they didn't match up. My grandma went up to the counter to ask about it, and they just told her to squish the pieces back together. I don't know what is up with this particular Me-N-Eds, but I'm not going back. That's saying a lot, because I'm usually willing to let stuff slide, but these guys have sloppy service and questionable food handling. I mean, where did that...
