Carl’s Jr. — Restaurant in Coachella

We had went thru the drive thru & was asked to pull over which was fine. Elena was the person running the window & brought out an order & handed it to us. It had fries which we didn't order & we were trying to figure out what was going on. A few minutes later she came running out & said she had given us the wrong order then basically very rudely accused us of trying to take that order! She's the one that messed up not us. It's not the first time she's messed up our order so we really didn't know what was going on. Also trying to place an order with her is next to impossible because instead of listening she keeps interrupting you so you're never sure what your going to get. We told her at least 3 times we had a coupon for one of the sandwiches but when we got to the window she told us the amount owed which did not include the coupon being subtracted off so we once again told her we had a coupon & she really got an attitude then that she had to enter it. We order an egg, cheese and bacon sandwich. Bacon wasn’t put so bf went back. All they did was grab the sandwich we had and put an extra egg and added bacon. This is so unsanitary, bringing food back to the kitchen instead of making a new one. Called them, Spoke to the manager in charge letting her know what happen. Didn’t offer any resolution, I called back to ask for my refund (the sandwich was for me, I won’t be eating that or from them ever). Called 4 times and they didn’t pick up. Manager just called back saying she can only process the refund if I come back, saying that’s the policy. We have some where to be and aren’t able to go back. Though, restaurants policy is , once the food is given to the customer you can’t take it back. So you pick and choose what policy to follow? The manager a small Hispanic dark haired woman dressed in b uisness attire took already warmed tots and threw them back into the fresh batch to reserve them. Then I wittnssed the back cook on eggs come up handling wrapped food with gloves and reach into the fresh tots and hand scoop out some for a burrito. I told the manager she was cross contaminating with her gloves and she refused to acknowledge me ...when I made a point to say your a major and it's a health code violation she continued to pretend to ignore me which was impossible as she was a foot from me. You need to get rid of this manager as she could care less about customer safety in food contamination and she definately had no customer service skill unless you train your managers to act like children and ignore people when they make a valid complaint.
