Taqueria Allende — Restaurant in Coachella

One of my favorite places to go to if I don’t feel like cooking at home. If you want to dine at place where you are on a budget, than this is the place for you. The food quality is above average but the prices make up for it. Do not expect for the service to be refine because it’s something that you will not experience here. The staff is friendly, well mannered, and greet you as soon as you are seated with chips and salsa. The problem is once you receive your food and drinks that they need to work on. They will not follow up on you to check if your food came out to your standards. Your drinks will remain empty throughout your dining experience. Some people care more about the service than the food but as for me, I care more about the quality of my food. This is the reason why I give this place a four star rating because I do not expect to have the same service as I would when I go to a fine dinning restaurant. I stumbled on this gem of a hole-in-the-wall because Google maps was playing its game of leading me astray to a taco shop that doesn't exist. Boy am l happy it did! This is a restaurant not to be missed for authentic, delicious, fresh Mexican food! Coachella has some of the best Mexican restaurants in the state, so the competition is tough, with great places all around. But these 2 ladies, brilliant chefs, make the best guacamole and fajitas in the valley! And unbelievably low prices, as well.
