Gonzalez Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Coalgate

Absolutely the worst Mexican restaurant food I have ever eaten and Management keeps deleting or hiding my posts,because they don't want you to read the truth rather than fixing the problems,myself and my companion ate a typical moderate dinner it was over 60 dollars,we had no alcohol, but I am not complaining about the price of the meal, but rather the food itself it was not hot,not favorable dry and tasted like over microwaved leftoversfrom the fridge that had not been covered up or sealed and I am not kidding I am giving a serious and honest review,I don't know how they remain in business,any decent authentic Mexican food restaurant,could easily put this place out of business and stay packed with customers,this town is in desperate need of a real Mexican restaurant not to mention myself and my companion were extremely sick for several days after eating here,the health department needs to monitor this business on a regular basis for the sake of the public,I would also remember while reading reviews not all local Guides, are honest about their reviews because they receive perks and badges etc for their good reviews,I would absolutely not recommend eating at this place under no circumstance,this is the only time in my life I have been disappointed eating at a Mexican restaurant,there is a couple of great Mexican restaurants one in Marietta and one in durant ok if you eat at either of these you will never eat at this place again I...

We go here about once a month, but never really for a special occasion. This visit was requested by my little boy that turned 7 today. We waited for his Daddy to get off work, which was later than planned, but didn't want to break our promise to our lil man. Off to a late dinner. Last day of school, sure why not? We didn't have a chance to ask the waitress if they did a birthday song or anything. We just ordered and went about our meal. At 9:09 our waitress asked if there was anything else we needed and I proceed to ask my husband if he wanted a sopapilla too.. She politely apologizes letting me know the kitchen closed at 9. Hey, no problem! We were the one's that were late. My son started to get upset, so I told him sonic is up the road we will go for birthday dessert, please don't be upset, it's our fault for being late. We'll get you a dessert, it'll be ok lil dude. Our waitress said, wait, it's his birthday? I said yes, it's ok tho we'll go up to sonic no worries, she said give me a second, I'll see if they'll make him one. ... My brother and I stopped on our way to visit family in Georgia, that was some awesome tasting food. Service was great. Only reason I didn't rate this place a 5 was even though my waitress warned me the plate was hot, I was hungry so I took a chip and dipped into my refried beans with melted cheeses..... the bite was warm. I tried another to make sure but it was again warm at best. I still ate until I was about to bust. The queso was very hot and delicious. Brother had the fajita supreme and said it was great, he gave it a 4.
