5 South Main — Restaurant in Cohasset

As many of these reviews state, the french toast is out of this world. But I want to make sure everyone knows the dinner and lunch selections are just as fantastic. And somehow, even in the midst of the current situation they have managed to maintain the same incredible standards.

We have been trying to frequent our favorite local restaurants as much as possible for take-out lately and without doubt, 5 South Main is head and shoulders above when it comes to delivering the same phenomenal culinary experience we have come to expect but in a box. Really, the only thing missing is the interaction with the wonderful staff. (We miss you guys!)

And one last thing: BEST CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES EVA!!! (Order twice as many as you actually want. You'll be happy you did when you have some left...

From a road warriors perspective when searching for a quick sit down or take out lunch in Cohasset this is the spot. Small restaurant with ample seating inside and out. No worries about checking the sandwich or bag for ordered items. The order is completed correctly the first time and always with a smile. Unlike many deli's that forget the condiments that you request. 5 South Main is on my short list for low key, delicious creative sandwiches and soups from the menu or interesting specials from the blackboard. My husband and I set out to find the best lobster roll in the greater Boston area during Covid. It took us three years but we found it, hands down, here in Cohasset. Not swimming in mayo but so fresh it must have been swimming minutes before it was made, the lobster is delicious and plentiful. The roll itself is a treat, lightly buttered and sandwich-sized, and is the perfect compliment to the lobster. We order takeout because the venue is small and the service was quick and pleasant. We take ours to the beach and enjoy the surf with our seafood, it makes for the perfect afternoon getaway from the city. Highly...
