Ava Cucina — Restaurant in Cohasset

I Came across this place while driving through this cute town. As soon as I’m entered, I was greeted by three different women. One was a customer at the bar. One came with children as well, and they came to greet me. Then, a third, approached me, and welcomed me. To me, that set the stage for such a friendly and inviting restaurant. It seems to have regular customers, and everybody knows each other and greet each other with news of their own families. The waitress was prompt to sit me in a comfortable table and asked me if I would like something to drink. I asked her questions about how the food is cooked and she was very candid with me. I really appreciate that. I ordered the pasta fagioli. It was very tasty and the fresh celery elevated it for me. The small shells were a little overcooked, and that was the only flaw of my meal. I ordered the spaghetti carbonara with sausage, and that is what’s pictured below. The sauce was delicious. The macaroni was done to perfection. Al dente. The small coins of sausage were sliced for easy eating. If I am up this way again, I would definitely stop here for some very good unassuming...

Ava Cucina is our favorite Italian restaurant! The owners/staff are the nicest people and the food is to die for. I personally don't like restaurant marinara EXCEPT here, where it's delicious and perfect. Their veal cutlet is top notch everytime and I love that when we go there that we know it will always be good because it's always consistent. It's a perfect cut, never overcooked or chewy. Their breading is light and flavorful but not overpowering on the meat. The gorgonzola ravioli are delicious with a flavor that beats any alfredo or cream sauce elsewhere. This is a go to date night spot for us because of the lovely people and cozy atmosphere but I also love it for a girls night out or a family occasion. They also give you free rolls (the good kind) and starter salad and have a full bar! Just can't rave about this place enough! Portion sizes are massive so if you can't fit it, bring dessert home because their cannolis...

First time at Ava Cucina and my last. My chicken scampi was so bland and boring. My friend ordered pasta fra diavalo with mussels I tried a little and the mussels did not taste fresh. The appetizers were actually good not fantastic just good. We got stuffed mushrooms and calamari. I also wasn’t exactly fond of where they decided to seat us. It was an extremely hot and humid nite and they sat us in a green house style part of the restaurant. All the glass windows just made it very hot and a bit uncomfortable and I don’t think the ac was on at all. Not an enjoyable dinner experience at all very...
