I had the absolute best experience at Black Cat Breakfast and Bakery in Cohasset. This charming little diner is warm, welcoming, and feels like having breakfast with friends you’ve known forever. Quentin and Lauren, the married owners, are incredible hosts who truly make you feel at home. Not only was the conversation great—we chatted about their adorable eight-month-old baby and shared stories—but the food was absolutely fantastic. Everything is made in-house, from the bread to the muffins. I had a grilled apple cinnamon muffin with butter and a bacon, egg, and cheese on their homemade English muffin, and both were incredible. If you’re looking for a cozy spot with amazing food and even better hospitality, Black Cat Breakfast and Bakery is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back!

Quaint atmosphere with excellent service. The Feldman was to die for. Fried Chicken sauced with a five spice blend nested within various greens, red onions, and a fried egg that’s out of this world. I replaced the bacon with turkey bacon, but it was still delicious. My wife who is not a usual fan of English Muffins was extremely impressed by the home baked one they used for her sandwich. We went twice so that she could try the Feldman and she loved it as well. The cold brew coffee is strong and is of lower acidity enough to be drank either with or without cream. Overall, an excellent staple to be enjoyed here often.

My daughter and I stumbled across this place by chance, and we're very pleased to do so! The breakfast sandwiches were great, made even better by the fresh baked goods, donuts, English muffins, etc. We will definitely come back! Highly recommend

Come for the great food - stay for the great vibes.

This is some of the best breakfast you can get in the state. Its hard to believe they are able to offer such a high quality meal for such reasonable money in 2024 - all without cutting a single corner.

My first impression was very mom-and-pop, but after seeing the lengths they go to to bake their own breads and plate dishes like a fancy resort might, I realized it was something even better. It feels like a culinary professor built these dishes, but with an artists understanding of how to plate them - perfect harmony.

I found myself biting into my sandwich thinking this isn't breakfast food - this is breakfast cuisine and smiling to myself.

Inside its extremely warm and local feeling like a mom-and pop might be, but with a nice dash of "lounge" added in where you can relax and soak up some tunes or read a book over your coffee.

When my meal was finished I felt comfortable and encouraged to hang out and relax for a few. When I went to leave the owner asked my name. He didn't need to ask if the food was good because he KNEW the food was good. He could tell just by looking at me. You get the impression they care about their community on a level that goes beyond just money or service. Extremely personable - A rarity for a team so young.

In an age of corporate restaurant franchises and fast food drive-thrus, The Black Cat has retained an incredibly important and valuable piece of the old world: Passion. You absolutely owe it to yourself to give it a try one...

We came here because the reviews were so great, however we were very disappointed. The place does have a lot of potential, but is clearly run by inexperienced staff who don’t respond well to criticism in person or online. Food was just ok but took way too long, our server never checked on us once we received our food and the kitchen ran out of an item and substituted without speaking with us first. After we complained about a very inedible item we were still charged and then both staff and owners gave us an attitude when we complained. To top it all off, our server dropped our check while we were still eating, which was very rude since we were planning on bringing home some of their donuts which looked really delicious, but felt like they were rushing us out the door. Overall sub par experience which...
