A couple of weeks ago, about 7:30 p.m. on a Sunday Night, we had family over from Des Moines. On their way out of Newton, we all decided to go to Georgios to eat. To save some time, I ordered 2 large Pizzas on my way there. When we arrived, we were told it was their policy that you couldn't order ahead, and eat in. Well, they didn't care that we had never been told that "Policy." I asked the girl when I ordered, that we wanted to order now, and eat in. She said "ok, what would you like." Anyway, long story short......even though they had only 3 tables of 4. They would not let us eat in. They would rather throw away 2 large Pizzas, and lose money on drinks, and whatever else we might order. Then a friend of mine said they were there the night before, and that exact same thing happened. Another couple ordered, and when they brought the pizzas to the table, they changed their mind, and decided to eat in. And they let them!! Yep, that made me even more mad. I don't care how good their pizza is, its not worth that. We will not be returning...
Read moreI myself dont eat pizza buy that changed when I tried one from Georgios. The ratio for all ingredients is perfectly combined and its not messy as most the cheese holds down the toppings perfectly. They have a good selection other then just pizza such as sandwiches. The French beef aujus is my favorite so far. And for the price you get a decent portion of sandwich that I found myself taking the second half home for next day lunch. The staff are super friendly and the restaurant it's self displays clean and attractive style that fits a pizza shop. It's own locally and they care for the community within Colfax. I give 5 stars and highly recommend that driving bye, home late for supper or a family get together for great food this is a wonderful place to park yourself and enjoy good food and good people. Great...
Read moreI was going to give 4*, but I witnessed a situation that was kinda bizarre. A couple had called in an order, but while waiting on their order, they apparently opted to stay and eat instead. I heard them ask if they could change to dine-in. The waitress absolutely refused to seat them and said it was against policy. This makes no sense to me. There were plenty of tables open, it would have increased revenue (probable beverage and possible appetizer, dessert purchases), the waitress would have earned a tip and it would have saved $ by not using a box. I'm astonished at a business turning away the possibility of more profit. Reminds me of Seinfeld's soup Nazi! The pizza is good, but not that good! If this would have happened to me, I would have cancelled the order and...
