For having recently started up, Mountain High Pie has a began with a very strong footing with their wide variety of toppings to choose from and a collection of sides that go beyond just being deconstructed pizza (talking bout all those places that give only breadsticks with marinara sauce).
Where I feel Mountain High Pie really shines is with their toppings and already available modern accommodations.
The variety of their toppings extends beyond pepperoni and sausage, but that's not to say it get's pompous. I'm talking salami, jalapenos, ranch drizzle, three different types of mushrooms, and thai chili sauce. So a plethora of options for some fun experimenting that don't go so far as to set up red flags.
They also already have online ordering and pickup/curb pickup, which is a huge thing in my opinion because not everyone is in the mood to talk over the phone, and their online ordering allows for scheduled pick-up, and so people can set it up to pick up the pizzas right after work. You can also customize your pizza pretty extensively. There are options on how much sauce and how much cheese, you can even choose different bake times. It was awesome to see because I'm a sauce guy, and now I can make every pizza a saucey pizza and not just be stuck to certain brands or food-chains.
All and all, this is gonna be my go-to pizza place. Made my day and even has me liking...
Read moreThis place, its food, and its people were a major highlight of our trip from NYC. Boozy milkshakes (we had the key lime and peach shakes) were amazing to the point where the key lime shake just tasted like sticking a straw into a pie! The pizza we custom made to order came out absolutely delicious, and that's coming from someone who's been eating NYC pizza his whole life. Also, the pretzels and cheese bread were dope! The people who run the place were fantastic too! They were not only very kind and patient while taking/making our ridiculous order only an hour before closing, they also had a great sense of humor about it all. Good people, good food, good vibes, and good times. I'm glad they moved out to CO and opened this place. Connecticut didn't...
Read moreWe visited Collbran today from Fruita to try out a Mountain High Pie and they didn’t let us down. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great! They offer a good assortment of food and drinks, from pizza, to root beer floats, to liquor drinks. We had a Pepperoni pizza with double pepperoni and cream cheese added, it was perfect! The pepperoni had a wonderful crisp to it and the pizza crust was just right.
To top off our experience here we found out our vehicle battery was dead and we’d need help to get back home. The owner of MHP helped us get in touch with some of the kindest small town locals who helped get us running and back on the road again.
We’ll...
