C&J Barbeque — Restaurant in College Station

WORST BARBEQUE we have ever ate! 1) The RIBS were slim and fatty and DRY AND TASTELESS!...2) The BRISKET was dry and tasteless,,I mean NO TASTE!. 3) The Pinto Beans were very salty and had very little taste like as if there was almost no seasoning!. 4) The Potato Salad was lumpy and hard and once again HAD NOT DISTINCT TASTE!. 5) THE COLESLAW---RUBBERY,HARD TO CHEW AND ABSOLUTELY NO TASTE!!...We mean ZERO!!. 6) OH,NOW THE MANAGER'S SPECIAL!!....7) The CHOPPED BEEF HAD A very weird tangy taste,on further review after THROWING UP ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD GOING HOME,,I think it was spoiled!!**TO SUM UP,I REALLY FEEL LIKE THE WHOLE MEAL WAS COOKED DAYS AGO!...I really do...My wife and I took a ROAD TRIP TO COLLEGE STATION to catch the SPIRIT OF SERVICE,,me being a Veteran for Veterans Day coming up. but I was embarrassed for her!...We were starving and ate as much as we could stand then WE BOTH WALKED OUT DISGUSTED!!.....It ruined THE TRIP!.....it RUINED THE HOLIDAY!....I really feel like I have been FRAUDED as I take my SECOND TRIP TO THE BATHROOM since I have been home VOIDING THIS OUT OF MY SYSTEM!....Thanks a lot!. P.S. I am not paying for this!...UPDATE#1 CALLED MGR AND they took no responsibility...So I called the HEALTH DEPT. they seemed to be familiar with this location. They said they would INVESTIGATE IN 24 HOURS AND LET ME KNOW!. I guess I will stay tuned! IT is a SHAME VETERANS ARE TREATED THIS WAY!...UPDATE#2 we ate there Monday folks and today is Friday and we are now starting to feel better now....

Excellent BBQ. We were in College Station visiting our Grandson. BBQ sounded good so we elected to give C&J a visit. What an excellent choice. The dining area was clean and well-maintained. The ordering process is cafeteria style, down the counter line, picking meats, side, desserts, drinks and payment. The staff behind the counter we extremely friendly and helpful. They were patient, and made everyone feel comfortable. The food was excellent, true Texas BBQ. The brisket had a good firm bark, deep smoke ring and very tender. We had the option of lean or moist slices. The pork ribs were tender and tasty. The meat released from the bone easily, but did not fall off. The smoked jalapeño and cheese link sausage was good, too much cheese, not enough jalapeño (personal opinion). Drinks were self-service, free refills. I absolutely...

C&J's on Harvey I really like C&J's but will not be visiting the one on Harvey for some time. Although, convienent from home, I was quiet dissapointed in the quality of meat. Whe. You pay TOP dollar, there's a problem. This is the 2nd time we ordered MOIST brisket only to get some dry, leathery tasting meat that I had to throw 1/2 of it away. The 1st time I had ordered it, I told the manager about it only to have him come back and slam the tray on our table saying, "Here, that's the best we have!" As you can tell, He was highly offended. You be the judge... For me No thanks! ...
