Potato Shack Plus — Restaurant in College Station

ive always had problems with this potato shack location. first off not only are the employees rude but so is the management. my friend ordered a potato fir me and him along with some tater tots. his potato and our tots were fine, when i opened my potato it was wrong. no big deal right? called the store explained my situation ASKED if i needed to bring my potato and receipt was told NO and thateverything would be good when i got to the store. i get to the store tell the girl i was the one who called about having a messed up potato and was asked if she could take the peoples order behind me. i said yeah no big deal. once dine she webt and grabbed the manager who proceeded to act like i was just someone from the street trying to get a potato, he sat there and argued with me about how i was just someone on the street trying to get a potato because i didnt have the potato that was wrong beachse no one else had called and complained about getting the wrong potato. after about 3 minutes of me telling him exactly what was on my order and what name it was under and who picked it up he told me i needed the pyhsical potato or he was not going to help me. i drive home get the potato and receipt and drive back. walk in and everyone behind the counter sees me and IGNORES me it took them about 5 minutes to come and even help me (by the way the manager looked at me about 4 times while i was waiting for someone to help me). EVEN after i brought the potato and receipt he tried to tell me that i was still wrong and that he shouldnt even serve me. this is THE WORST place to eat at in college station, worst service and the potatos just sit in a box on the floor until someone orders one and they just put it...

This was by far the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. It was our first time here and we were excited. We ordered a chicken potato and were given sausage instead, which my boyfriend can’t eat for religious reasons. When we asked for the correct order, they refused, saying they couldn’t take back touched food. My boyfriend took a couple bites of the potato because the manager took so long to come and speak to us. I’ve never had a restaurant not fix their own mistake?? To make matters worse, they fixated on the fact that we had taken a sip of lemonade using our water cups, accusing us of being dishonest and using that as justification for not fixing their mistake. The manager was so condescending throughout the entire situation. After an awkward back and forth, the manager offered to serve us what we had originally ordered as a gesture of “charity”. We left without eating and wasted our money. Above all else, the food was very mediocre. Now I understand why it’s always so empty. Absolutely will not be returning again.

DO NOT GO HERE. It can give you horrible FOOD POISONING. (the original off of University is great, but this location is Worse than sub par)

I had been to the potato shack at northgate and loved it before. So I convinced my boyfriend to take me to potato shack plus.

When we arrived we were told that they were out of baked potatoes and that there would not be any for another half hour. So I ordered bbq over tater tots (it really was not that good at all) and he got the chicken fried steak over mashed potatoes. (Something that i had enjoyed immensely at the northgate location. He said it really wasnt very good at all).

As soon as we got home, his roommate mentioned that he ate at the northgate location all the time but had gotten food poisoing twice from the potato shack plus.

Sure enough, three hours later, he was hit with a Terrible bout of food poisoning. I will not go into detail, but he couldn't keep anything down for almost 24 hours and felt horrible for another day after that.

Tl/dr My boyfriend got terrible food poisining at Potato Shack Plus. I'd give it negative 3...
